MotoGP 2023

Results of day 1 of the Final Pre-season test at Portimao' today. Ducati on top again, Vinales top Aprilia, but Oliveira is nipping at his heels on the Satellite RNF bike (which may, or may not be rebranded as a Moto Guzzi at their upcoming team reveal!), Rins top Honda and the KTM's have work to do!

Something I never thought I would see. Honda to buy(!) Kalex chassis for Marquez to try out. They were already supplying Swingarms, but for almighty Honda to stoop to this is truly mindboggling! I have to believe that its Ken Kawauchi trying to placate Marquez, or is it something even worse?

Are we to believe Honda can't build a frame? I think Honda is moving the bike away from being Marc's bike and the Kalex frame is a way to keep Marquez happy for another year until he goes.
 
I read a little more about this and it sounds Like they will try and have Bradl Race the new Kalex Frame as a wildcard entry at the Jerez round. IMHO Bradl is a nice guy, but he is simply not fast enough to be able to truly develop the parts a world championship caliber rider needs to succeed. KTM has Pedrosa and Honda had Stoner for this very reason! Iannone comes to mind, say what you want about him , but he had the speed to run with anybody until his (soon to expire!) suspension.

That last bit of rough ground before the tarp covered tyre wall (!?) shouldnt be there at all i reckon and how come as mentioned above why no airfence.. track needs another safety look over.
And hopefully this triggers Dorna to check over the rest of the circuits on the calendar.
