MotoGP 2023

Looks like Bagnaia picked Martins pocket on the last lap! Winner of the first ever Motogp Sprint race. Quartararo out of the points.

All the interviews ive seen this morn have all the riders really enjoying the sprint format (prolly not the crashed tho obviously!)

I def liked the sprint race  but i cant help thinking the 'risk over reward' will kick in fairly soon cause you could see (and hear the riders comments afterwards about the 'strange lines and not normal bike positions') that crashes are gonna be common and we all know that can be season or career over...yip it happens already but with paint rubbin being the norm with the sprints we might see alot of riders down this year.
Pretty clear the Japanese bikes are in strife against the Euro machines again...they need moar POWER :race:

Well put a guy hell-bent on winning another title on a really lacking MotoGP bike and you get mayhem. Marquez is dangerous and they should sit him down for a couple of races for the crash today caused totally by his greedy, entitled riding.

Marquez bowling into Martin and taking out Oliviera looked almost like a brake failure of some kind. Still havent seen the whole race, just twitter snips. He has a broken metacarpal to show for it, Oliviera seems to be ok luckily. Marquez gets a double long lap penalty at the next round, though there is still some conjecture on if he is unable to ride in Argentina does the penalty then extend to the next round that he is actually able to? Bagnaia has a commanding lead and its only the first round!

I watch those guys talking in the winner's area and they are respectful and professional. Really great feel and good for the sport (as well as the safety of everyone). I don't want to go back to the days when MM was running his "Iwin or I crash somebody" vendettas on track, Rossi was playing mind games, Lorenzo was just generally being an ass, and Stoner was walking around thinking he was a GOAT for being able to ride a Ducati.

I'm ready for this new generation to move on.

Finally got to watch the race today. Marquez actually Hit Oliveira in the same corner on the first lap! As it stands there will only be 18 riders at the next race with Marquez, Espargaro, Oliviera, and Bastianini all ruled out already. Going to be a long season!

The FIM is getting blasted by literally everyone now for this. First they issued the sanction, then when teams and journalists pointed out the flaw in the ruling they "ammended" the rule 2 days later. This will get bigger and more out of control! Some are suggesting that Marquez might (highly doubtful) show up in Argentina this weekend just to serve the penalty so he doesn't have to face it at Cota the following race!

I was just reading that there are 10 riders listed as unfit to participate across all three classes for this weekends Race in Argentina! And that's after only one round! Paging mr. Iannone!

Can anyone show Pecco a wheel this weekend? Fair to say all of the Ducati boys have been warned to keep their distance from him or else!

Also Hondas appeal has been pushed up the hill to the FIM Court of Appeals. They (FIM) really mucked this one up!
