My bike baseline dyno'd @ 196!!

Figuring a 10% loss of horsepower from crank to wheel your number of 196bhp yields 176hp to the wheel which is inline with others I've seen here but lower. The torque is also lower than some I've seen here.

Brocks AlienHead, Pcv, K&N filter and a tune yielded 186hp to the wheel and 111lb ft of torque on mine. Is there anyone here that could actually feel that difference between our two bikes? I doubt it.

Maybe your tuner dyno'd your bike in "C" mode..

Reef you still seem to be missing the point and facts. Your numbers are bhp/crank hp and mine are rwhp/at the rear wheel hp. Your hp is lower.

Blanca don't waste your breath not sinking in. doesn't matter when he wonders why everyone who makes less power is right next to him might sink in ???

Blanca, I have seen alot of people give grief over k&n on a bike, I have a yosh 4-1 and a pc but have not decided on a filter (recently got the bike needing a tuneup). Is there a reason u went k&n?

That will never happen!! After 4th gear kicks in I'll be well over 2 blocks ahead of you :super:

I've been using them for years on all my bikes. They trap more dirt than a bmc race filter and I'm comfortable with K&N. I too have even heard that a factory filter will make more power but in the end I like that I can clean and reuse the K&N. That's mostly the reason.

Ok fine. Your right and everyone else is wrong. Your bike is the fastest strongest quickest most rapid Busa ever made. Enjoy it.

can't blame a guy for having a dream ...cause that's all it is. come to track talk is cheap get some adjustable dog bones, strap the front end and we'll see how fast your bike "really" is....i if your bike made 196 WHP (notice WHP not BHP like your dyno sheet states) your bike should EASILY go 9.30/9.40..but i have money on alot slower. i'm sure if the 1/4mile isn't your thing that there is an 08 busa in NJ that will be more then happy to school ya on how even you HP monster is to ours. again not trash talking but you have to look at things this way i highly doubt you and your boy have the only 2 busa's make 195+ at the wheel...just say'n so think BHP =brake horsepower..WHP = wheel horsepower. i got this funny feeling you'll be eating yuor words soon. i hope you come to track and we can laugh about this together and i can say told ya so

He understands, he's just playing with you guys now :;):

Horsepower and Brake horsepower are really the same thing as far as mathematical calculation. The difference is how it is measured. Brake horsepower is usually a measure of an engine's horsepower at the shaft WITHOUT anything attached to the engine that would normally be required.

Brake horsepower is usually a theoretical calculation or a measurement made only in a lab under controlled conditions since an engine cannot run without most of the things that it would be required to remove. In the lab/shop they would conect the engine to the dynomometer and then supply coolent, oil pressure, electricity, etc through external means.

Do your research people!

Dude you just said exactly what the last humpteen people were trying to tell you. BHP is at the motor. Between the shaft and the pavement you will lost +/- 10% of that power because of the drivetrain. Your #s are laboratory #s not where the rubber meets the road #s.
You have a strong bike and are happy with it....who cares about the rest.

HP is measured with all the accoutrements attached to the engine, to determine its maximum rate and speed. BHP, on the other hand, is which is made under lab-controlled conditions, and without having anything attached to the engine. Not really no difference....

Wow you guys are getting all worked up over nothing BHP and RWHP are different . you can believe whatever you want just meet me at the strip !

I have a K&N too Saiid, and got it for the same reason you did.
The only info I've ever read was for a gen1, with no airbox mod, and the stock filter made 2 more hp than the K&N...supposedly.
I don't care either way, but I have a hard time beliveing that stock cardboard brick that came out of my gen2 flows more air and makes more hp than a K&N.
