sorry to hear about your fiance. Without giving any false hope, I know that Delta is changing their flights. They want to beef up their international flights and pull back from the regional flights. We can't compete with the low cost carriers so we are putting more flights on Comair and ASA. Hopefully that will put a higher work load on them so thier jobs will be safe. Good luck to him and you. I hope it all works out for the good.I completely understand...my fiancé was just hired by Comair/Delta, he started a month ago and probably will be layed off. I believe that's why he has not recieved his uniforms yet...sucks!
Ugh... I don't get that.I completely understand...my fiancé was just hired by Comair/Delta, he started a month ago and probably will be layed off. I believe that's why he has not recieved his uniforms yet...sucks!
Exactly our point...THANK YOU!Ugh... I don't get that.I completely understand...my fiancé was just hired by Comair/Delta, he started a month ago and probably will be layed off. I believe that's why he has not recieved his uniforms yet...sucks!
I mean, it's not like a company the size of Delta doesn't see the writing on the wall months upon months in advance.... how can they hire someone knowing something like this is looming on the horizon?
I am sorry to hear that he got laid off, VanessaHe was laid off Saturday.....
I really don't know what I am going to do if I get laid off. I would like to stay with working on aircraft but it is only going to be small stuff. With all the major airlines falling apart it is going to be a cut in pay and with the cost of living in CA. I can't afford to live there.Good luck J-dub, isn't there anything out here?
I agree with you. I am seriously thinking about getting out, at least for a little while. They normally give us the chance to take a voluntary leave before they layoff anyone. I may put my name on that and move on. This way I don't have to quit which leaves me call back rights if things turn around. Until then I just have to deal with it and make the best of it. It's still a paycheck for now. I hope things work out for your husbandjw, I wish you luck again...might be time to rethink career change. The stress of not knowing when the axe may fall takes a toll...I hope things work out for the best.
Vanessa, sorry to hear about your fiance...that is a tough one...
My hubby works for a well-known Japanese company, but I see signs of the unknown lately, so we'll possibly be in the same boat in the coming years...you just never know, do you?
