Hi. I learned a lot to day. I am going have him shot neck the frame and to make another change to the frame I never knew about I an going to raise the swingarm pivot up 12mm.Surprised he didn't try and talk you into HIM building the system
Hehe. See how he is?Hi. I learned a lot to day. I am going have him shot neck the frame and to make another change to the frame I never knew about I an going to raise the swingarm pivot up 12mm.
Hi. What do you think of moving the swingarm pivot up 12 mm?Hehe. See how he is?
He made a Busa engine exhaust out the throttle bodie side and intake thru the exhaust port.
I dunno I have not given it thoughtHi. What do you think of moving the swingarm pivot up 12 mm?
Its better if you get a adjustable pivot made. Change of 1mm are required to fine tune the swingarm angle for maximum traction. Go too far you get extra traction. Too low and you get wheel spin. With the swingarm pivot in conjunction with the height adjustment at the clevis of the shock you should be able to reach the perfect balance between adjustments. You shooting for between 12 and 13 degrees of swingarm angle. Depending on the swingarm you running might need to go higher than 13.Hi. What do you think of moving the swingarm pivot up 12 mm?
Hi. That is what Eric said to do. I an going to talk to him more. I also have a Penske shock that is 1 inch shorter than stock set for a 150 lb rider and 12 in over arm. ZeePopo said to make it adjustable I will look into that too. I just do not want to get lost in adjustments. Eric thinks that 12 mm will be good. I am bring the frame to his for the short neck any way. 508-496-3312 the phone is on 24/7.I dunno I have not given it thought
Helps anti squat I assume
I have a program that calculates swingarm angle. I'll see later tonight what numbers come out with a 1 inch shorter shock and 12 over swingarm. But based on the 1 inch shorter ya gonna need that 12mm for sure. What tires will you be using. Front and rear tire circumference will make a difference as well as how low you gonna drop the front forks by.Hi. That is what Eric said to do. I an going to talk to him more. Hi. WOW THANKS for the help. The front is a 120/60/17. My are 2 inch internal lowered also the trees are custom made by unit 5 with a 1 inch positive off set. Now the rear tire I am looking at the Pirelli super bike slicks in 200/60/17 and 200/65/17 and also the Diablo Supercorsa SP V3 I am trying to get the roll out on them, no luck so far. I am using a 6 3/4 wide rear rim.I have a program that calculates swingarm angle. I'll see later tonight what numbers come out with a 1 inch shorter shock and 12 over swingarm. K so ran the numbers. Remember these are ballpark figures until we actually have measurement for everything, with a 1 inch shorter shock and a 12mm pivot, with the front forks showing 8mm(my program does everything in mm so best with me) and a 12 inch longer swingarm your swingarm angle is....6.54 . That short shock really kills all the geometry. Without the pivot that puts you at 4.79. These numbers will get you into prosquat fast, which isn't beneficial for traction. Prosquat is when your rear tire under acceleration wants to touch the back of your head. Antisquat the rear tire is trying to touch the front tire. Prosquat controls more the front end from lifting while antisquat will raise that front end so fast you will flip lol. Throttle control is of vital importance.Hi. WOW THANKS for the help. Hi. The motor is painted. It goes together next weak. I will start to order sensors for the MAXX ECU Race h20.Also looking into a blow off valve and a wastgate they will be on the way soon. Another thing that will be done soon will be the frame shot neck and to move the swingarm pivot up 12mm's.K so ran the numbers. Now if we try a different setup, say 12mm pivot and a 25mm longer than stock shock( stock is 330mm) that gets you to the magical 12.59 degrees.
If your friend is making a drop in pivot that will fit without mods to the frame I love to get one myself. Changing the pivot height allows you to increase swingarm angle without reducing wheelbase.
Now with these number problem comes with the rake angle. Ends up at 18.2 degrees. Make the front end twitchy. This is with stock clamps and trees which you won't be using anyway but just to give you an idea.
Hi. Today I went to DAS and ordered the S&W Igniter for use with Methanol and stick coils. How I am ordering the Tial wastegate and blowoff valve.Hi. The motor is painted. It goes together next weak. Hi. There is a company called Allite they make a Super Magnesium that was only used in military and aerospace. Now they are going it available to everyone. So I am going to call them to see if they want to make my every part of my bike that can be made out of it for me. It think it would be a good way to show off the stuff. If they say no it did not hurt to ask!Hi. Today I went to DAS and ordered the S&W Igniter for use with Methanol and stick coils. How I am ordering the Tial wastegate and blowoff valve.
