My Very Slow Build

Hi. Got-Busa. Hi I put the wrong size of the tire down. It is a 215/45/17. If I get it approved it will be a car tire a Michlen Pilot Sport Cup 2 Connect with a speed rating of over 186 MPH.
I don’t think you’ll like or even want that tire on a motorcycle. It’s going to change a lot of things in the handling and with the speeds you want to run, I wouldn’t even attempt it personally.

Hi. I am looking at it from the speed raiting of over 186 MPH. I am only going in a stright line. A bike tire got Bill Werner killed when it failed. So I do need more input on using a car tire.

I am not a fan of shouldered tires on a LSR bike
Loring has a pretty good crown to the road, and with cross winds, steering with english is tough on a shouldered tire bike

Have a company that shaves race tires shave the edges into a round profile or do it yourself on a stand
Hi. I was planing to shave it done to a little bet above the wear bars. I will see if they can put a curve on it too. Also if there is a wind I do not plan to make a pass. Does any one know what Bill's gearing was? Also my motor is built for 13500 RPM. I also have overdrive 5th and 6th gears and I have to the smallest rear sprocket will fit on my rear Dymag wheel.

do not know his gearing
He was running a overdrive 5-6 as with a wheel that allowed for a smaller than38 rear
but I do not know his actual gearing

I’m not going to get in the weeds about it but that’s just not true. The tire didn’t fail causing him to crash.

I’d recommend you stop spending money and reevaluate your plan. You’re spending a lot of money on things you just plain don’t need or want.

Hi. Who are they? I will have to see if the tire place I will be using can do that

Hi. Well anyway the people that was there said to me that the tire failed. The tire is not in stone if it turns out that it will not work very good I can gio with a bike tire.

I think the tire failed ....afew say that, with dome that was there...and I've noticed that those that disagree with tire theory, don't have any other reason.

Hi. I do not know his name but he is considered the father of LSR on pavement who was there said that the video showed the tire coming off. In Top Fuel they run a car slick tire at and at a very low pressure speeds over 250 MPH. I ran a 7 inch bike slick at 7lbs slowing down from a little over 170 MPH was a bit of added fun but always was OK. So I am still looking for more info on running the car tire.

As someone that was friends with Bill, went to his funeral, and saw more images of everything before and after than I care to talk about, I stand by what I said.

Hi. Well now to star looking for sensors. What should be watched ? 1 front and rear wheel speed 2 exhaust temp 1 -4 3 far 1-4 4 water temp 5 oil temp 6 oil pressure 6 boost 7 intake temp 8 rear tire temp. Can anyone think of other things I should monitor. Still not sure on the rear tire.
Hi. Well it looks like there has to be more machine work to be done. Eris will have to do some work on the Marvic wheel to fit a pock up for the front wheel speed sensor.
