That suxs man,,, but not to sound like a jerk, but if they haven't found it yet the thieves have all ready found the lojack unit and detroyed it! I used to sell the and install them and theres no real good place to hide the unit on a bike!

Good luck dealing with the insurance company, just make sure you have all the keys for the bike, or the insurance may drag the claim out!

Sorry to inform you of this now but lojack was a waste of your money. Put simply, Lojack does NOT work everywhere. Here in Florida all they have to do is take the bike one county over and they're safe. Not every law enforcement agency participates with Lojack.
The Lojack unit doesn't even activate until YOU generate a police case # then call them with it. This typically takes HOURS to notice the bike is gone, call the cops, wait for them to arrive, write the report and get a case # assigned. Most of the time the bike is stripped before you get to stage two of that procedure. 2nd, the popo's have to WANT to find it. Best results are achieved if two are looking for it driving around listening for beeps to come in over their "special" FM channel.
On your new bike I would highly recommend a GPS based unit that goes to a call center that monitors the movement of your bike as it's happening and will call the police and tell them where it's at, which way it's headed and how fast it's heading there. ( www.phantomtracking.com )
No, I'm not a salesman for them, I am just tired of Lojacks lies.
I sincerely hope everything I have written does NOT happen to you and that your bike is recovered and the bad guys are found dead next to it

Why has everyone been pimpin' this Roadlock thing like it's the end all be all anti theft device? When was the last time a thief took time to hotwire a bike and RIDE OFF with it?

The bike gets tossed in the back of a truck and off it goes. Does that Roadlock put out some type of gravitational force that keeps the bike attached to the earth?

I can immbolize my bike with the cable lock I carry by running it through the wheel and swingarm. I also have the added bonus of being able to lock it to a stationary object if one is nearby. At least it'll be a bit more of a deterrent for the "toss it in a truck and go" thieves and it set me back a whole $20 bucks at Lowe's.
My paging alarm helps too and if all else fails a call to State Farm.

Thieves piss me off so bad.

The laws should get stiffer for thieves when caught. It's truly sad that the hardworking, decent citizens are always the victims. Sorry to hear of your loss and I hope that your bike is recovered with very little to no damage. And I do have to agree with MoosesBusa... LoJack is not the way to solve this problem. Too many "ifs" involved.

Doesn't Lojack have a $2,500 guarantee? Plus an additional $2,500 to put towards depreciation of your stolen bike? Plus 5000 Guarantee or something like that?

Make sure you get all the forms now and fill them out on time as required so they can't find reason to deny your claim.

Sorry for your bike . My security system is my two eyes. If I can't see the bike, I'm not walking away from it. I don't leave mine in the driveway even. I only have it there as long as it takes me to open the garage and put it away. When in the garage, my other security system goes to work. He is a 130 lb Chow mix with a bad attitude towards people who enter his garage. Bottom line guys and gals, no matter what type of anti theft device you have, if you leave it unattended it will be gone some day.
