I hear ya, I have worked on so many cars and Honda, Nissan, and Toyota all have their over priced flagship models.

I have not made it to the BMW yet, but its in my future.

Caddy gets panned in most all of the enthusiast mags when compared to the German cars. GM is much improved in recent years, but still lags behind the Germans.

Hot? Come on Darlin I'm in the NW, there's no sun to speak of really. I mean it does get sunny up here in the summer but A/C in the car is pretty much optional.

My conservative side says do the black leather With Dark wood, and Black Paint.

On the other hand the Arctic Metallic with the Grey leather would look pretty good.

Part of me does want to do the Black or Silver though with the red and Black "Pimp" leather option.

Remember, Medium Pimpin.

Wife's 3 Series with Black leather cooled down really fast. The A/C is more than adequate to cool the relatively small cabin in in very short order!!

ive had a few BMWs and they all been pretty nice cars (525//550//645) compared to the CLS550 is definately topped everything else... Mercedes is kicking BMWs azz in ammenities and bells and whistles, and as far as im concerned Looks.

The 300 series BMWs are popular because they are affordable to alot of people who otherwise couldnt afford one.... just like the C class Mercedes is mercedes best seller. If you are a small guy you got it made but if your 6'1 235 (like me) your screwed. I wish I was smaller so I could by cars like a 335i but it aint happening.

Um, Rocket I'd Love to hear how you've decided that Mercedes is kicking anyones azz. Bells N whistles possibly, but they are playing catch up in the electronics department, and I haven't heard or seen anything new or original outta them gadget wise.

Quality has suffered across the line, their designs aren't really anything special, and their resale has plummeted over the last 5 years or so. So far Chrysler is the only one benefiting from the merger. The Diamler side of the house isn't doing so well.

Just pick up a consumer reports, and look at the sea of black...

I love the CLS though, beautiful car. Mercedes Builds fine "luxury" cars.

Yeah that's the impression I got. I figure with the lease being where it's at, I may as well go ahead with the BMW. I'll see how I feel in three years. Might be that Caddy has done some catching up.

One thing that stood out about the caddy is I heard and read a lot about rear end failure. So I dunno... I've always been a Caddy fan though.

wasnt trying to start a car war there rev, just givin my .2. congrats on whatever you get whether it be a 335i or a 760. they are all great cars. I think the reason I prefer mercedes is because it is a nice change from the BMW after all these years. The CLS550 is basically a 4 door "answer" to the 645 bmw.... but like i said they are all nice,

Rev I highly recommend the Navi system. After having it in both my GM's I love it and I would venture to guess that the Germans have a better system than that of GM's. You won't be dissapointed.

Lobo I think I have decided against the i-drive. It's not just the navigation, it's also your climate control, phone, and stereo control. So it's this integrated electronic control center and really the only new stuff you get is a graphic ipod display and control, voice activated features, and a GPS.

Well I already have the GPS, the car already has the ipod interface, and controls for everything else... So I end up wondering if the $2100 is worth it. I dunno, I like the idea but I am wondering if maybe I wouldn't be better off getting the i-Drive on my next car in 3 years. By then it should be better.
