Rev; I'm 6/2" and 270, and had no problems with comfort with the 3 Series Bimmer we owned for several years with all due respect to something said earlier. Matter of fact, I found that "seat travel" was plenty generous. Enough so that at times I was perfectly comfortable without the seat all the way back, and I really tend to stretch out while driving. (leave no room for anyone in the back seat though!)(Revlis @ Feb. 15 2007,23:17)Yeah that's the impression I got. I figure with the lease being where it's at, I may as well go ahead with the BMW. I'll see how I feel in three years. Might be that Caddy has done some catching up.(SLA1500 @ Feb. 15 2007,19:04)Caddy gets panned in most all of the enthusiast mags when compared to the German cars. GM is much improved in recent years, but still lags behind the Germans.(Revlis @ Feb. 15 2007,16:52)CTS-V 400HP V-8, 6 speed. Nice car.(frisbee @ Feb. 15 2007,13:42) I love the infinity but once you drive a BMW (" bimmer") you will feel the diff . Now how about that caddi, SLX is it ?
One thing that stood out about the caddy is I heard and read a lot about rear end failure. So I dunno... I've always been a Caddy fan though.
+1 on the extended warranty through Mercedes, or BMW for that matter.(Revlis @ Feb. 18 2007,02:04) Impressive cars Bro no Doubt. Problem is that if something, ANYTHING breaks on your $40k car you are actually going to be replacing parts for a $140k car, make sense? It could be really expensive, besides, Mercedes really has been struggling with quality control over the last 5 or 6 years. Not so much in the Flagship S class, but it would still be a concern in a Mercedes with an Engine as complicated as the v12, that's out of Warranty.
I wouldn't... Maybe a 2004 CLK 500 or something like that, Certified Used. But nothing that isn't in Mercedes Certified Used plan.
OH and Kevin, Audi I think prolly has the most comprehensive Certified program out there right now. But yeah, any of them would make me feel a lot better about getting into a German car with German car parts prices.(SLA1500 @ Feb. 18 2007,10:05)+1 on the extended warranty through Mercedes, or BMW for that matter.(Revlis @ Feb. 18 2007,02:04) Impressive cars Bro no Doubt. I think the cars are then covered to 100,000 miles. You'd essentially get your warranty money back the first time anything breaks.
I think the catchy is that the extended warranty is only available before the original mfg warranty expires.
Rented an S Class Turbo 330 in Germany last summer. An awesome autobahn cruiser. (mph in lower left)
Just so VAbusa doesn't have to dig!!! The one I ordered looks identical to this, accept my interior trim is going to be Dark Grey wood, not the aluminum.(Revlis @ Feb. 16 2007,23:51) Just a few shots of an identical 335i I found online.
and the Interior...
There's two turbo's in there somewhere, well that's the rumor anyway...
Head lights that turn into the corners for you.
