I don't believe there is any reality to having too much fun.....when you get this beast to where you want it, it will be the envy of many other H2 riders I reckon....
At first I didn't like the angular, piecemeal look of the H2 but it has grown on me over time.
I will be happy to get it to where I want , yes , great fun adding mods , then trying out each stage of the chosen additions . A lot of owners before me have built up some very trick H2's , I have seen full FG Ohlins on at least one early model bike that was modded for road racing ( stock wheelbase ) and others with FGRT Ohlins as well . These setups run 108mm calipers , and are very trick , but the fitted Kayaba fork ( fit my GP4-MS 100mm calipers ) are premium Japanese and can be tuned even better as already are , so I will look into this for now at least .
The looks are subjective of course , but I remember first seeing a H2 , its debut in Sth. Australia , at Mallala Racecurcuit , back in 2015 . I was taken back by its design , I thought it was pretty ugly then . The frame looked minimal and nothing about the bike followed any conventional design I was used to or really liked except it was supercharged . A few year later however , and , yes , it grew on me to where I now love the looks and design . Just the fact that Kawasaki actually had the balls to make such bikes should be celebrated imo , definately now the gutsiest Japanese manufacturer imo , and the bike , of its time . That day I also got to see the H2R go around the track , and it sounded amazing , and lapped okay for a tight track .
I always loved Suzuki , the GS series ( changed to GSX after GS1000S in OZ ) were and are very special to me , as are the older GSXR machines . Those machines were testament to when Suzuki ruled the roost , even up against the might of Honda . The Hayabusa Gen 1 and earlier GSXR 1k 's were the last truly balls out motorcycle Suzuki have built imo , and slowly overtime things have gone a little stale , and conservative , and other companies have stepped up instead . Truth known , if Suzuki built the Gen 3 to 1441cc hyperbike level , I probably wouldn't be writing this . I feel Suzuki in general have became normal , and their products tho still can be good ,are just not reaching that great level of those better days .
