Russia and Ukraine

I agree with giving them the bombs. What better way to clear entrenched troops.

I think, however, that Ukraine is going to lose in the end. Biden has set so many limits, no aircraft, no strikes inside Russia, etc. The Ukrainians are hamstrung and probably can't win. All because Biden is a coward.

I think he might be trying to avoid a nuclear war.....

I think it is NATO that has set these limits as they don't want to be having to commit to WW3....which is a real possibility.

But, NATO is up to their eyeballs in this war and are not innocent bystanders egging on the Ukraines but active participants with equipment, weapons, and training (and advisors on the ground).

You really think Putin is willing to go nuclear against us over Ukraine? I don't think so. That would be suicide for his country.

Why does he get to draw all the red lines?

I think it's because he's the nut....

As for his use of nuclear weapons....it's really hard to say but if he gets painted into a corner with no where to go and nothing to lose...he probably will...

Right now he's pushing a big bluff by moving nuclear assets to Belarus in hopes that scares enough people that he gets his way...

Either way, Russia as a country is through on the world stage....

I don't know. What if he wants Poland next? The same arguments will apply. There has to be a line and I feel like it should be before he attacks a nato country
 
We need to get one thing straight.
BIDEN is not doing anything!
He is a living zombie. He is not making policy right now or deciding what ukraine gets or doesn’t get. His ‘handlers’ and masters are the ones making those decisions. He such a dimwit he recently said Russia is losing the war in Iraq, twice!

When watching videos from ukraine It is sad to think about all the weapons and munitions now strewn all over the country. If the fighting stopped today it will still take decades to clean all that up. I think there will be many places simply marked off limits due to all the mines laid there. No different than other former battlefields around the world. Some places just become permanent no go zones. Russia has been using cluster bombs since the beginning. The NSA and defense dept spokesmen who announced our intent said Russian cluster bombs have a 30-40% failure rate. They used the words millions when talking about how many have been used both in artillery, grad mlrs missile systems and aerial bombs. Then they went on to rationalize our intent to supply them because ours only have a 2.5% failure rate. In their long word salad they basically spilled the beans and said we/they are out of ammo and these are all we have left to give. We are ramping up production and until that happens this will be all we can give. Ok sounds reasonable….
However the world including the USA signed off the ban of cluster bombs. World agreement is nothing with a 1% or higher failure rate can be used. White House policy a short year ago was if it was proven Russia was using them it would be considered a war crime. Psaki said it herself ‘the use of cluster bombs would be a war crime’. Now we flip flip, break rules and go against our word because it suits the evil ones who are directing this sh!t show.
The prime minister of the Uk was being grilled the other day in parliament because their own supplies for home defense have been severely affected. He said since the armories were full of weapons with the intent of stopping Russian aggression and that’s what it’s all being used for now it’s still a good thing. Kinda ignored the fact that his country his still left empty.
There is so much going on nobody really even noticed that a week or two ago the Ukrainians said they needed more money/weapons. His number was 6.2 billion. Then bamm! Guess what? The pentagon announced a clerical error that accidentally gave ukraine an extra…….wait for it……6.2 billion.
The amount of $$$$$$$$$$ being spent and made for this war is incalculable. We are giving everything away and ordering more daily. Less than two years out of Afg we are now once again embroiled in another endless war. Our govt and defense industry seek these.

The whole thing was messed up by both sides from the onset....

Russia has been trying to reintegrate Ukraine since the fall of the Soviet Union going so far as to put their own puppet government in place which was unsuccessful...then there was Crimea which should have been an indicator of future aggression.

Then the internal civil war being fought between pro Russian forces and Ukrainian forces along the eastern border that was never addressed by any world power...

Russia who is now emboldened, attacks Ukraine.....and no efforts were put in place towards building peace but rather NATO bolsters a non-NATO country with their latest technology, training, logistic support and funding....

Sadly if Russia invaded some country in Africa or somewhere similar, not a word would be said nor a dollar spent.

Not saying we should or could stand by and watch Russia wipe out Ukraine but where are the sit down peace talks and UN forces creating a buffer zone...

Where is that resolve today? Why isn't this being used in this conflict?

NATO and primarily the US could be funding and supplying this war for years and years to come unless it expands globally.

Russia is being supplied by China and to a lesser part Iran and North Korea....and they themselves are not under attack so can ramp up their war machine as they are known to do....

It's a fine line to walk.....

Historically attacks either by ground or air have been disastrous going into Russia....I believe NATO thinks this would paint Russia into a corner and then have them revert to a nuclear option.....

Peace talks and a strong message needs to be employed, not the escalation we are seeing....

When two people are fighting, the bystanders handing them weapons to hurt each other more is not the way to go, breaking up the fight is the way....nobody seems to be interested in breaking up this fight...whether it's because it's lucrative to have them fight, I'm not sure....if so, it's a real sad situation with no winners.

Negotiation won't work because Russia will never give up Crimea. Of course we should try but I don't see it working. Russia is free to strike civilian targets all over Ukraine but Biden puts unreasonable limits on Ukraine. Support them fully or not at all.

Of course they should have tried and still be trying....Zelenksyy is not bending any either......he has the false power of the west behind him now giving him a sense of bravado...and more and more demanding....

Biden is only one voice at the table of NATO and although he carries weight, it is NATO which as given the restrictions in hope of not starting WW3...

NATO has made it clear that the weapons, ammo, equipment and training are to be used in defense of Ukraine not an invasion of Russia.

Restrictions are what you get when you are handed billions upon billions of dollars of free stuff I suppose....

If he wouldn't have received all this, the chances are that Ukraine would now be in Russian hands...

I'm also sick of Biden. I wish a decent dem would jump into the election. At this point I'll vote for anyone except Trump or DeSantis.
 
This kind of sums up how Ukraine is starting to think.....as in NATO owes them and they (NATO) had better hop to and get the equipment, arms and ammo to them right away with zero thank you from Ukraine..

Yep. Been saying this from about month 3 or 4. If you help your're going broke, if you don't, you will be responsible for the loss to Russia.

This can go on for years.

Each month it goes on, China gains strength. We get weaker.

Once China is satisfied they will invade Taiwan.....it's not a matter of if but when....

North Korea is pissing off Japan-it's hard to know how much Japan will take of these ICBMs landing in the ocean near them...

Iran is pissing off Israel....

Kosovo is acting up again...

It seems to be never ending these days.....

Fortunately we have Pacific assets that can come into play to make it clear we aren't impotent. It's more a matter of China draining our country of $$ to fight a war. Meanwhile they stockpile Oil and deplete our warchest.

And our dimbass self goes on network TV and state the reason we are delaying cluster bombs us because we are running out of munitions.

Just brilliant!
