Example.... The Hillary campaign infiltrated the Trump campaign looking for real Russian collusion. When they didn't find any they made it up and pushed it out to the MSM and the Mueller investigation was launched. We all know now that the real scam was Joe and Hunter ( the Burisma board position ) using the billion dollar loan guarantee with Obama as the power to decide if it happens or not. It's called political graft. Lots of other moving parts in that story but I ain't going to bore you with it.

Its not about collecting taxes as stupid as that sounds... its about weakening America by making it dependent again on foreign oil... then... right after that we can get back into the business of stirring up tensions in different places around the world and before you know it wars loom on the horizon... Getting back to the origin of this thread and the imminent threat to Ukraine, I think Putin is posturing and shaking a tree to see what falls out. He has his forces positioned in an attack posture and they can either advance or withdraw pretty rapidly.

Well, I think Putin didn't expect the coordinated response he got from Biden and the west. I don't see the point of a shooting war when they could cripple Ukraine virtually. Why not just cut the power, turn off cell and internet access then send in small groups of special forces to get critical targets under the cover of information blackouts?
Now he has a bunch of people and equipment freezing on the borders and that's got to be costing a fortune. I think that's why he's sending some troops back to their bases. The longer they stay there the sillier Putin looks and support is going to fall in Russia.
All true, however, he was playing a dangerous game of chicken with the west seeing who would flinch first...most likely it will be him....China has also overtly claimed an alliance with Russia and those two banded together is a real threat.
Ukraine is a divided country as it is with a large separatist (former Russian citizens) movement along it's border with Russia. There has been infighting there for years.
China can claim anyone as an ally, but the bottom line is we are their ally whether either of us likes it at this point. We are hopelessly connected with China as a supplier and the US as the market. China is just stirring the pot with the Russia thing, all in the game of chicken. They would like to get those resources though. If I were Putin I would watch my back on that one, haha
It sure didn't take China long to cozy up to the Taliban in Afghanistan when they smelled the Lithium there...
