Spring Bash ~ April 28-30

Kim and I will be there (of course). Again we will plan on staying after the weekend, so we can get in as much riding as possible. Hopefully she will have her new bike by then.

Thanks to Jeremy she is fixated on the 05 Gixxer 600. Maybe the price will fall a bit with the release of the 06. We will see in the spring.

I'm open to just about any date, the only thing that can keep me from this event would be my job! Would love to travel out in a group... GSXcite, once a date is planned I'll have a better idea of my travel arrangments. Really want to make this trip on the bike!
Bug I got my 05 the 1st of July and I just turned 12000 miles on it so I aint sceeeerd! Would love to ride out with you and a group. End of april is OK for me. Will see if my son, GSXTacy and some of the others would be interested.

Sweet, this is starting to take shape and the bug is getting spring fever.............

ok, so I'm gonna say we should target April 28-30 but that doesnt leave us a back out date for rain.... so does anyone want to say the weekend before that with the 28-30 as the rain date? I'd just say we should roll with the 28-30 and maybe a few days either side

I am cool with that as the choice. Looking forward to getting some more quality time at the Gap.

You guys gotta go to Blood Mountain this year.

ok, if we are gonna do a blood mountain run, we might need to do it friday or something... I'm considering taking either thurs-sun or fri-mon up there... the only problem with the blood mountain run I saw was it was pretty far away... like all day.

Who would be up for an extended event, say arrive wed night til sunday or arrive thurs evening and leave monday afternoon

I'm sure Blood mountain is worth every minute of riding

just trying to gauge the interest in it.

Blood Mountain is an all day ride. Last Saturday of the Fall Bash, we left around 10 am, rode the Skyway and made the loop to BM. We got back around 6ish or so.

First time I've heard of blood mountain, where and what is blood mountain?
its in NW GA I believe...

I'm up for the ride, just thinking we should see where the interest level is and if folks are willing to come an extra day to make that ride. There's plenty of other area roads that are way fun to ride as well that I'd like to ride without feeling "rushed" or something to get down there and back. You know how it is, "oh we'll have breakfast at the crossroads, then we'll ride".... 3hrs later, we are actually riding

Now thats not a bash at all, cuz well I love hangin there at the cross roads and checking out all the rides and hearing stories

Warbaby was unable to attend the fall Bash with back problems, maybe we can convince him to attend even if not feeling well to tend our bikes, rooms, and food (ha) and for his great sense of humor,  He has been strangely quiet on the board lately.[/QUOTE]

My back problem seems to have self-corrected and I plan to be there to ride (sorry, I wouldn't be a very good tender).

We gotta have Kevin's Brat Burgers though!

great to hear things are better for ya Tom! Looking forward to riding with you up there again. Anyone heard from Hooken lately?

Thanks Zuk. I always look forward to the Gap and the guys from Hayabusa.org. A couple of weeks after you guys went last time, my back improved (it comes and goes) and I rode to the Gap for 4 days of great weather and twisty fun--stayed at the DG Resort. It was my 5th or 6th Gap trip this year.

Blood Mountain is located in the mountains of North Georgia. Very little traffic and a great road. Muuuuuuuch better than the Gap.
I may have ridden that when I was up there last year, but didn't know what it was called. We were just exploring.

The easiest and quickest way to Blood Mtn is away from the CROT on 129. However there are more "interesting" ways to get there.

So it's looking like the last weekend in April? I am also planning to take off the following monday. Last year we had to head home on Sunday, which cost us some good riding.
