Spring Bash ~ April 28-30

Come on Ride-or-Fish. Just go a little slower through that one turn and stay on the road. Hope to see you there.

Looks like this is getting big. I can't wait, just lucky the weather has been great in Kansas City and I have been able to do some riding or time would be standing still.

okay Valium.
let me know as soon as you figure something.. maybe we can even rent a trailer? if no one has one..

i think i would very tired after a 580 mile ride (one way)...  so i am hoping some how i can ride part of the way and trailer part of the way.

i probably wont know until mid Feb about whether i can get time off or not.

Also, do you have a place to sleep? i am still looking.
Think are total is 995 miles to the Bash plus the travel time before that for Valium ;_). Just get the busa some luggage and get ready for a nice ride down and back

of course that 100 miles was of speeds around 120 mph.. and up

still driving one way down.. (need some help guys)

may have to wait until you guys do a bash up this way... nice lakes around here

I know that we have agreed to get together Saturday for a group pic but, did you ever find out if Killboy was gonna come take a few snap shots of us. Unless he is the one that is coming to take the picture Sat.

I just got a response fron Darryl(killboy). He seems to have a good plan on what might work for us. Here is a copy of the email.

Yeah I can probably swing that photoshoot. I tell ya what, I do this for the Katanaplanet bunch every year, and they seem to think it's a good deal...(and it really is)..I come shoot them at a set location on Hwy 28 for about an hour at $100/hr. When we're finished, I give one of them a CD with all of the pictures on it and they are free to distribute them as they wish. If you get about 20 or so folks together, that comes down to $5/person, and you get a ton of shots. It's mostly from one turn or section, but I move around and try to mix it up. I can only do this prior to noon on weekends (Fri-Sun) or anytime during the week.

Something to think about, I can also just come out and shoot like normal, put them in my store and y'all can purchase at regular prices. (no commitment)

Best Regards,
Darryl Cannon

so what, thats like $2 a person at the current listed attendees

I would say maybe we'd be good for doing that if it includes the group shot.

The only thing I'd be concerned with is getting everyone photo'd.... with potentially 75+ bikes based on the sign up sheet, if he isnt moving around much we will only get the one pic probably...and we arent going to have a line that long turn around anywhere

Wonder if we actually have 75 folks, if Killboy would bring another photographer along for 150/hr

hehe... let's just make sure it's a right-hander turn.....I get WAY lower on the right compared to the left.

Has anyone contacted any of the cycle magazines? One did a small piece on the fall one, this one seems to be much bigger. An article about internet comunities like the org would be awsome.

I would be willing to chip ina few bucks to make this happen. The only problem that I see is someone paying for a picture and not getting one taken of them. With that many bikes it will be very hard to turn around and make another pass I would think. If some of you that have been there before think it would be easy to make a pass or two in an hour then that is fine. Having two people there to take the photo would be great two. That way we could have them set up in two different turns and we would have a better chance to get everyone.

yup...lefty for sure.

Every overshot corner, run through turn or place where I get out of my line because I change up speed in the turn has always been a left hander. I
I am OK if I know the road well....it's judging the new ones that get me. That's why I started just going at my own pace and forget trying to keep up. If you can't wait for me to catch up, then I don't need ya! lololol
I refuse to endager my busa (or myself) for the sake of just "keeping up".

perhaps we need another column added to the list of the attendance page....
"Paid for Pix"

Since Warbaby is a "maybe" perhaps one of us that is more "financially commited" to this trip (vman1300?) can could use their paypal account to gather contributions and send copies of those names to the Bash page for an update.
I would fully expect everything from the group photo and some action shots to take 2 hours to complete.
Even at only 50 people ... 5 dollars would pay for both the photographer's time AND a 100pc pack of blank CDs... Whomever tallies the funds is going to also be willing to make the copies or arrange to have them made.

Hey i was thinking thats not a bad idea ,,,i can bring my laptop and a bunch of blank cd's ( they are cheap now anyway ) cd and burn some if not all of them there if ya need the help and then everyone would have a copy of everything ( just a thought )

rock.gif

as for taking pics im sure that if he's there for a hour then everyone should have ample time to take individiual shots (providing the group shot is organized quickly and efficently (just my 2 c

It may be just as easy to make all the pics downloadable like the service manual, they you can pick and choose which ones you actually want without the time and expense of the CD's.
