Also on the cell phone front. I did have Cingular service in Robbinsville a few weeks ago.

Robbinsville is probably good for most cellular services, however you probably wont get shid on the dragon anywhere and very limited with a nextel in the canyons. There's some major highways into the area for driving in, I can use my Verizon all the way up there .... yeah, dont ask.... ok yes I have talked on the phone almost the entire drive from RDU .... 6ish hours

Verizon works great in Robbinsville, but not so good at the Dragon.

As a few of you know, I recently had to sell my `Busa due to back problems aggravated by the Busas' forward riding position but...I plan to be at the Bash on a just-released `06 Aprilia Tuono 1000R that, ironically, is arriving at a western NC dealer next week. It's mine.

Naked, upright position, 408 lbs. dry and 133 HP V-twin. See y`all there...

Nextel is almost non-fuctional everywhere around Robbinsville, unless they've installed some towers since last summer. If you ride up to the overlook and lean on one of the poles, it will work. True story.
