I'm heading to chicago tonight, then home to NC tomorrow.... finish packing/moving sat/sun....sleep mon/tues and then head for the bash wed with Jennifer and who ever else from my area.
If there's a chance to scope new roads on wed, I'll do it. Jennifer hasnt been up there before so we'll be taking wed afternoon to get her used to the area and then thurs is going to be the long loop 129->28->74->441->foothills->129 if anyone is up for that

Hey Zuk fstbusa and I will be up for some kinda ride like that on Thursday.We will be getting to CROT sometime Wednesday morning. I was going to do a run over to blood mnt Thursday. We are staying at Deals Gap Resort the first two nights. I thought Warbaby was doing that also but I think that changed
I plan to be a the DG Resort Wednesday and Thursday (if I can get reservations tomorrow morn)...been busy doing a few mods.
also spoke with them about booking , they had a few cancelations today so if anyone is lookin to stay at or move thier resevations to the philips there is space available , the numbers she rambled off were not on warbabys list , so im guessin it wasnt an org. member that canceled .

Is he going to be open on the 28th? Does he go by appointment or first come? I might come up Thursday and head over there Friday morning. I still can't get my carbs figured out with the airbox, and I'd rather be using the K&N's that are sitting here in a box on my workbench. $70 sounds very reasonable compared to how many hours I've spent trying to tune these things.Yes, he does. I had mine "tuned" last year. Ken is a wonderful guy and was very patient and helpful. In all he spent about two hours with me.
He first pulled 9 dyno runs to adjust the mix. Then test rode for another 15 minutes or so. Lastly he did a full suspension adjustment, according to my weight and riding style. (Sorry Jinx, I'm just too lazy).
Let me say it was the best $70 I have spent on her. The throttle response change was instantly noticable. The suspension change was also noticable, but took some time getting used too. He did add that I needed heavier springs (or lose some weight)
I'm going to have him work on the brakes next.

Can't wait to have the K&N's on the bike AND tuned properly. When I did a test ride after putting them on, the power band was the only thing tuned right, and it was downright beastly. Couldn't keep the front wheel down in 1st.

sounds good, I'm thinking the thursday run will be a nice break in for Jennifer, she's never been up there before and it will cover most of the roads so we can spot for issues when most folks get to town. Might even swing down to the skyway that afternoon/evening depending on how time goes
Can't wait to see you all up there. I'm in chicago now, freaking flight was super delayed out of Dallas.... sux
All day meetings tomorrow then finally back home. We'll be at the Phillips by 1-3pm on Wed if all goes well

We'll secured the cabin if we get there first~ I'm thinkin we'll get there around dinner time on Thursday... unless I get too antsy and leave Wednesday night~just added thursday to are stay at the philips , they moved us over to cabin 204 , also added gjoker and lady hawk to the reservation ,, nothin like the last minute!

Now I need a room in the area for Friday night...Phillips is booked, as is Micro-Tel...anyone know how far away the San Ran Motel is from Phillips? And if anyone needs to cancel a Friday night at Phillips, please let me know before you call!

If anyone wants to get that room, let me know ASAP. I'll call in a bit to cancel...we'll be heading back toward home late Saturday afternoon and staying closer to home Saturday evening...makes our run back on Sunday a bit shorter, kids will miss us by then, etc...
