STOLEN BIKE IN NC

Went to the garage this morning to get my bike and it was gone!! Some low life non working scum bag took it!! It was stolen some time this morning between the hours of 12:00am-8:00am. Last time I saw it was last night when I locked up the garage at midnight. Anyone in the Eastern ststes see a bike like this they can contact me at my email address(n4dek@triad.rr.com). I've already contacted my insurance company so I guess now I'll just have to wait. It's a bummer being without a bike!! I've never had anything stolen before so I don't know how long it will take for the insurance company to act. I just hope I can recover the cost so I can replace the bike. Sure is a funny sick feeling when you have something of this nature taken from you like this. Here's a pic of the bike anyway.

They will replace the bike, but iduno about the double bubble and other mods. I cant beleive they got it from the house? Some body had to have been staking you out.

I actually keep the bikes in the house, with 3 dogs, (terrific hearing! )and 4 wireless motion sensors on the property. If someone comes across the driveway, It wakes me and the kids up!

The kids are trained to first, look at the driveway, and if they dont see anything, they will go around back

Sorry to hear about your loss man. I always worry about somebody busting in the garage myself. I'm deffinately getting an alarm and camera on the garage now. Again sorry for the loss, hopefully they will find the bums and slap them around a little.

I have cameras also, but that little box is kicka$$ and also has a battery backup, No wires, and the batteries last for 6 months. the sound base can be heard anywhere in the house, and beeps once, or, up to 4 times to let you know which one got activated. they work indoors and out, rain, or darkness.

I had one Stolen from me. I parked my new one in the living room. I now have armed guards a garage and neighbors worth more valuable things than my busa.

Sucks! Another thing, lots of people park their car outside the garage w/ their garage door opener in their car. If so thieves can break into your car then have access to your house.

(edit) This is jefferycarman - busawife logged in and didn't tell me - doh - so PM jefferycarman, not busawife.(/edit)

I had my GSXR-600 stolen last year.  It sucks man.  It's a feeling of violation.  If it's recovered, as mine was, it will never feel the same.  (thankfully they totaled mine out, I could not have ridden it with what they had done).

The insurance process is dependent on the company.  Who do you have?  I was with Foremost at the time.  They were pretty quick and understood that it was hard enough to deal with the stolen bike and that you didn't need to fight with them.

You will need to get some quotes on 08's.  High range price, mid range price, and low range price.  List the mods and how much they cost.  That's more than likely the info they will need in order to decide what they will cut the check for.  They take an average price.  So find a slightly mod'd 08 with a high asking price if you can and toss it in the mix.  That way you are more likely to get the whole cost of the bike and not be out.

If you have any other questions feel free to PM me.  The process sucks, and I am sorry to hear you are going through it, but if you do it right you will be back to riding in no time.

Damn dude, I hate this for you. I live about 20 miles north of W-S. I spread the word around and keep an eye out for the bike or anyone trying to move parts.

I'll keep an eye out for it down here mate. That sucks, there are some freaking losers out there.
