STOLEN BIKE IN NC

Sorry to hear about that.

Not the first time I've heard of a bike being stolen right out of someone's garage. I'm looking into getting a rottweiler to stay downstairs with the bikes while I'm at work.

Sorry to hear of your misfortune , I hope they find the SOB'S !!!

In the wild west, they used tp hang a man for stealing another man's horse. Stealing a bike should carry the same punishment today. That violation feeling is horrible.

DAMN BRO, thats F@*CKED!!!!!, F-ING PUNK AZZ thieves

Yes,they kicked the door in. The frame was busted all the way up to the top of the door. Believe it or not no one heard anything. What's so funny is that I have three dogs outside and I never heard a bark from any of them. I can't figure it out.
I would have to believe the dogs knew whomever took the bike. Most likely more than one thief?

Is your garage seperate from the house? Is that why the door being kicked in didn't wake you? Was the bars on your busa locked? If so it took more than one guy to get it our of the garage and into a vehicle or they took some time and knew how to break the lock?

I would not be surprised if you find one of your friends took your bike! Had to be someone who knows the bike and where you keep it!

sorry man...I know how u feel. My house was broken into early this year. They took all my wifes jewelry and my 4 year olds jewelry box. They also rummaged through drawers. You feel so violated. The kids were scared to go anywhere in the house alone. I feel like their innocence was stolen too. Good luck finding the a..hole(s).

More than likely someone you know or who knows you. I had a close call 7 years ago on a Sunday evening. My luck would have it, I dropped my bike and took it to my parents house to remove the plastic and exhaust to relpace them. I came home to find my hindges unbolted and the door just swung open on the shed. Nothing was taken so mission was not accomplished. I live way back off the main road and only had the bike a month and a half. Did'nt too many people even know I had it. The Saturday before the event though my cousin came up with some friends while I was at work and asked to see it. My brother told them I was'nt there and he did'nt want to mess with it. As a result of such event I pulled the trusty and true ak-47 from the closet and poped in the 75rd drum magazine and cleaned out the woods in back and on the sides of the shed and house. Never had a problem since!

I'd check your friends houses and their friends houses if you know where to go.  Also, checkout any local dragstrips and check Vin numbers.  When checking the number don't worry about the whole thing, just try to match up the last 4-6digits.  If you get a match, THEN run the whole number.  Last but not least, ride around your area and look EVERYWHERE. Most theives are stupid and maybe just took your bike out to mess around. You might see it in a ditch or behind a house. You never know. Heck, you might even catch him riding the bike around.

Whatever you do, think before you react. Keep cool. Follow the guy if you can to see where he lives, then get the cops involved. We all would like to kickass and take names, but that stuff usually ends up with someone behind bars.

Well I got some damn good news yesterday evening,my insurance company is now saying that they are not going to pay for the stolen bike! They are now saying that they never told us that it was covered but that is a total LIE. My wife went by their office this morning and comfronted the lady that she spoke to about this originally and she told my wife that she has never even spoken to her. I can't believe this. So I guess I'm out $14k unless I get lucky and find the bike. I went yesterday and bought a brand new 08 GSXR1000 to tide me over untill I got the insurance check but I guess now I'll be getting nothing! We just learned a very expensive lesson to never trust what someone tells you by word of mouth. This lady is now playing dumb about the whole thing at our expense. So be it I guess.

Your insurance paper work and/or card should have what coverage code you have. That should tell you if you are covered or not. Even if that lady plays dumb.

Man I hope this works out. I can hardly stand corporations anymore because of stuff like this. $14k out of the millions their company makes could help change a life. A-holes

Holy crap, I would put on my war paint and go down there. Do you have ANY documentation of insurance at all?

was it just liability? if that is the case, it only covers other party's property and not yours in case of accident. wow... that sucks man. keep digging your paperwork and see what you come up with.

i learned my lesson on home insurnace. according to insurance company it will cover only 80% of cost of repairs in case of flood or fire and that is not what i expected and i got that corrected.
you got to read all the covereges line by line.insurance companies always find a way to get you somehow. pay more for less coverege!!!
