Trac 240 kit

i want to see the vette guy's busa with the 240 centered.

yo, i have a 240 kit on mine and love it! yea you hear of everyone saying you cant take it to track days, well personally, it depends on what can of rides you like, i ride the parkway etc and i have a 240 with about a 10" stretch with no problems doing the parkway sharp turns. People need to remember not everyone races, some of us like to ride and enjoy everywhere from cruising town to nice scenic backroads. Personally if i was gonna ride the twisties on "track day" i wouldnt be riding a busa on them. Just my .02. Basically, I've never regretted my 240 and i'd def do it again!!

here is the final version As it runs now. And thanks for the kind words guys i have many hours into this bike over the winter.

Side View

This a a Trac Dynamics kit. for a 05-06 GSXR 1000 5in over which is about 4 over on the busa. Also i use the 1000 rotor and brake and brake mount. looks cleaner but let me tell you this wasn't as easy as a simple bolt on. I had to have Busa Bushings for the Pivot pointed machined down to fit into the swing arm. For the most part that was the biggest pain in the butt. The rear wheel is a Moddifed Busa wheel for a 240 tire.

The biggest thing in getting the proper alignment is cutting new wheel spacers to get it moved over and dose require a bit more grinding into the frame to make it work. But still not that big of a deal.

I will be posting a thread on all my mods here shortly Probly in this section since i have done so much with the bike over the winter.

Hmm dang don't have that pic. Oh well i will get one if i pull it off again to do some more grinding for the adjustments i do with the air ride i noticed if i run it all the way down it rubs some so i will have to take it off to grind that down some yet also.

If you want to cruis around in a straight line,, then go for it. I Personally enjoy the back roads and weaving in and out of traffic. 240 Kit looks good but what kind of riding do you enjoy?

The 240 is hardley even notice compaired to stock in turns. Unless your an everyday superbike knee dragger?

Its not from stretching it....it from squeezing in a 240 kit.
