Weather Alarmists

Scientists may not always be right, but science in established physics, mathematics, applied mathematics, quantum physics and chemistry is always right.

No matter how hard you look at it 2+2 will always be 4. Gravitational force at sea level will always be 9.806 m/s2 on planet earth and electrons will always move when passed from one atom to another due to a potential difference in a precisely predictable measurement. Carbon dating will always be very accurate and measuring the CO2 in a compound which also contains H2O remains precise.

Landing a Rover on Mars is absolutely impossible without an extensive knowledge of all the disciplines mentioned above. Having a disrespect for science is not very smart.
Hi To keep it simple, if you add something or leave something out it will change it. It is like satistickets you can make it say what ever you want, Like married people have on average they have 2.4 kids, I have never seen a .4 kid.

You are looking at extraterrestrial travel with the limited understanding of the universe mankind possesses...

As a species we are very young, we've only had limited space travel for what 55 or 60 yrs? Other species of life could have had space travel for millions of years for all we know...

I think space exploration is something mankind should pursue but we should be looking after where we live before focusing on leaving it. The huge funding and effort required to explore space could be better served in making our own world a better place.
The infinite potential for for the human race to improve life as we know in a positive manner is surpassed on the negative side by the political class and its cronies to muck up for all of us.... That is what they are doing with the climate change scam going on right now. It is all connected to money and the power to tax people with a pseudo science sales pitch scare tactic.

Yes... the climate is changing... the Sun goes through cycles that affect all the other planets in our Solar system to some degree... You know when corporations can buy and sell carbon tax credits that grant them the ability to pollute more than they normally would that the cleverness to create it in the first place really isn't all that clever.

The talking heads on the news speak about tons and tons of CO2 - I’m surprised they’re not sending the snowplows out in summer to pretend to invisibly move it off the roads….. Meanwhile, our criminal government adds carbon taxes to our hydro and gas bills - but does nothing with this money to offset the supposed problem.
Fact is, we’re heading into a period of low solar activity. Temperatures are most likely going to decrease as the sun is the main source of heat for our planet.
Unfortunately people are getting stupider by the day and find it easier to believe what they’re told rather than what they see right in front of them. From 9-11 (2 planes knocked down 3 buildings), an election where the popular majority elects an Alzheimers patient for president and the huckster ‘climate scientists’ with the fabricated ‘hockey stick’ graph - the world is not doomed by global warming we’re doomed by stupid people….

Not terminated in the name of exploration and pursuit of knowledge.
You are mixing correlation with causation.
I think in this case the two can overlap and exist in the same reality especially since there is documented data on the subject.

White explorers arrived and immediately influenced the indigenous peoples by offering items (clothing, food, weapons, etc) of which they could not make or fabricate on their own. The explorers then introduced religion and fractured relationships the various indigenous cultures had with each other.

In many cases the white settlers gave superior weaponry to favored indigenous tribes so they could eliminate rival tribes who may not want the white settlers to remain.

Settlers essentially destroyed the way of life for countless indigenous peoples and are continuing to do so.

I'd say that is the definition of "termination."

Dam
Yes... something like 16 million dollars worth of property... and if I recall correctly his house sits 8 ft above sea level at high tide. Guess he isn't too concerned about rising sea levels.
Damn he's only .2 feet short of being safe oh well! Hahaha.

It’s a damn shame that the forests around the world are being decimated for profit with very little if any reforestation efforts taking place. It’s simply survival for the actual laborers in those areas with high profits for the ‘company’. Having lived on the north coast for a few years where the giant old growth redwoods are, I was happy to see the lumber mills refitted for younger smaller tree harvesting, The mill owners, logging truck drivers and lumberjacks sure didn’t like it though. Seeing clear cut bare sections of the forests (because it’s so much ea$ier to clear cut than dealing with careful harvesting) is sickening. The decimation of the South American rain forests is a crime against humanity.

it’s difficult to discuss climate change vs seasonal weather change when lawmakers/politicians go on tv and talk about changing the orbit of the moon to fix climate change. some people just need to study a little more science. then they can decide who they want to believe. rather than getting bias opinions from talking heads on cable news who target their viewers with “news” they want to see rather than news they don’t believe.

So just in the last 9 months 4600 square kilometres of Amazon rain forest has been destroyed. there’s no entity or govt that has any interest in saving the lungs of the world, the problem is that government don’t care about destroying the earth
Things like the rain forests are a global asset and should be regarded as such. The problem is a country has possession and if that country doesn't give a darn about it, then it disappears.

A very sad thing indeed....

Even where I live there are vast farms which have eliminated large swaths of forests...these farms are not growing food but are growing cash crops (corn for ethanol) mostly.

Geebus, he probably thinks we can nuke a hurricane too.

Hi. So are we all ready to give up our bikes to HELP save the planet???????????????????????/ We could raise the tax on all fossil fuel to help build solar and wind power. Even if in can not supply all of the power we will need? We will need to do rolling black outs. So lets raise the tax to say $15.00 a gal or more. That money could also be used to give all the HARD WORKING LAW MAKERS A VERY LARGE RAISE. Will you still drive?

The sad thing is we (the world) could just pay them not to deforest. Would be relatively cheap too.

WTC 7 - the other concrete and steel one that conveniently collapsed into it’s own footprint for no apparent reason….

The good news is the feds gave the Indians reservations so they could build casinos on them and take everyone's money... especially the white man's. lol !

Has there ever been a group of people that didn't take the next groups stuff if that was advantageous? Rivalry between groups of Native Americans was going on long before Europeans ever came to the Americas. Friendship too but Native Americans always had war and naturally, there was always a winner and a loser. It's a harsh reality of being human. Today, there's no need to build empires. Who wants all that land and people to take care of when all you need to do is take advantage of their economic need? Cheap stuff without the cost of warfare and without the bad reputation! We're still doing it today and there's still winners and losers. I'm afraid the key is to avoid being the loser.

Well, white settlers took everything from the indigenous people so having a casino and making money off people (not just Caucasian) who are obviously enjoying themselves seems ok to me.

...and the "Feds" certainly did give the indigenous peoples reservations-mostly scrub land they didn't want or thought would be any good for anything....while they took (mostly by force) land occupied by indigenous peoples who in some cases were there for generations upon generations...not all tribes were nomadic-that is a fallacy.

Indigenous peoples the world over have been negatively affected by the appearance of white settlers, at least the indigenous peoples in Canada and the US are being somewhat looked after.

complete bull. Fires destroy buildings all the time. A 14 story building has most of the basic elements of a skyscraper and the burn and either collapses or has to be taken down. It's just not news. Tall iconic skyscrapers have many redundant safety systems and it's very hard to have a fire get out of control accidentally. Remember 9-11 was not an accidental fire, and it included many gallons of jet fuel.

Also, buildings around the collapsed towers had damage similar to a major earthquake. Many of the small buildings had to be reinforced or razed.

Speaking of aliens, I watched Battle Los Angeles again last night. 4 time. I really like this movie but it got bombed by audiences and critics. I think it followed District 9 which was much more high-minded. Battle LA was all about action, which I can always get into. One thing I really liked about Battle LA is the Aliens could be killed. In most movies they are invincible and we somehow figure out how to plant a virus in their base station. In BLA you shoot them enough times and they die.
