Weather Where You Are

Had a small tornado go through about 1000 yrds from my house...big trees down along with a few gazebos, roofs and fences....lots of damage for something that touched down for only a minute or so.

We had a power outage as a result and when I went to start up my 'ol trusty generator, it started and ran perfectly but wasn't putting out power to my 240 plug, upon closer look (and to reset the trip breakers) I noticed one of them was broken....so after stripping it down to get the part number a new one is on it's way for Friday....hopefully that resolves the issue. I thought maybe the generator side went for a crap so I plugged in a halogen work light into the 120 plug and it lit up no problem.

Always something it seems.

Damn brother hate to hear about it. Glad no one was injured and the only loss was a new part. Carry on troop

As for here, it’s hot with a side of getting hotter and a spoonful of go duck my couch.....lol. Sure am waiting for the cold....( don’t read too much into that word ) to get here

The destruction was pretty intense for a very short event...there is a 100 yr old tree that is just shredded, it was a big 'ol beggar and is now all over the place. One guy I talked to just got done his wood fence on Saturday and it is gone...his neighbor procrastinated lagging down his gazebo and it ended up on his roof (big steel gazebo).

The temps are falling here, it is about 60'F out there today-good working weather mind you.

I might bundle up and take the Bumblebee for a flight later.

....just checked the forecast...getting into the single digits (Celsius) over the next week or so...

I fear the end of the riding season is upon me. I hesitate to take the bike out if the temps are too low for fear of losing traction and dropping the beast...I'd rather store it than have to fix it...

That season went by pretty fast...almost faster than the bike can go...

The wind is tearing through here with a smattering of snow along with it...

I was awakened in the middle of the night when my recycle/trash shed went for a tumble across the lawn...it 10 yrs it has never moved an inch...so there I was outside at 0230...

The sad part is once your adrenaline is pumped up, it is hard to get back to sleep.

Crazy to think by Wed the daytime highs are in the mid 60'F range....and supposed to be almost 70'F Sunday......

It was better than 70'F yesterday and the Bumblebee and I went for a buzz through the honey hole forest..

It's supposed to be over 70'F for the next 4 days....crazy considering we had 22'F and snow just a few days ago.

I guess I'm the only one who gets any weather to speak of....

Was out shoveling the 4-5 inches of snow just now, a cold wind is blowing...my 9 yr old grand daughter greeted me when I came back in and noticed the 'snotcicle' hanging off my mustache.......

As soon as she said something about it, I chased her around the house clomping snow off my boots all over the place..it was mayhem and chaos....and perfect. The wife was chasing me trying to get me to a door so I would stop clomping snow but I still chased the little critter...she ran into a bathroom and hid there...so I gave up...

In Socal we have 320 days a year on average with sunshine and good riding temps. Even though the days are shorter during the cooler months they are great for riding the canyons out here. Wearing full protective gear and being comfortable is the way I like to ride the best. The summers are a little to warm at times during the day here...

Stupid weather..
We're 8 days into summer and it's raining, cold and expecting snow in the high country.
What the hell is going on?
Summer weather used to start in Nov and last till late March.
Now we're lucky if we get 10 days above 30c now during summer.

Hope it doesn’t last. Winter is supposed to be here and although the temps are in the high 20s low 30s at night and barely into the 60s during our very short days, the sun has been out and the skies are clear. Brisk riding but really cool moving thru the shady areas. Here’s nearby Bass Lake which is really low.
