Ha! Quite the opposite here Bill, awoke this morning to 16degC, high of 24, warm winds and some cloud, showers this arvo. She's cold out there today.....-20'C with the wind chill...went out for a wee show shoe walk and it's nippy on the nose for sure...
Good day for the snowmobilers, although we need a bit more snow for them as the trails are closed right now.

I just dunno how you northerners are able to put up with all that cold and the snow for months and months. I suppose uprooting and shifting south is too much admin?

I spent my time in very hot climates for months on end and frankly, it was nice to get out of them.
Here in Canada we have very little critters which want to sting, bite or poison us which is nice too.
.....and the real bonus, when it's really cold outside, it keeps all the idiots and jerks inside so it's perfect to go out for me.
I miss the bike but have lots of time to do a detailed cleaning and any maintenance or mods I want to.
I put in a Generac last spring as we were losing power more and more...it was worth every penny. No ride today. Power has been out since 11:30 last night and trees and power lines are down everywhere. I’m losing all my stuff in the freezer and my waterbed is getting cold! It’s just 42 outside. Glad I have a gas stove so I have (some) heat inside. Wind gusts were up to 80mph, blew a steel framed Coleman camp chair off my porch and into my driveway. Man it was noisy, like a train passing by but for hours and hours. PG&E first said it would be fixed by 3:00 a.m. then 10:00 a.m. and now they’re saying 6:00 p.m! Suppose I can charge my iPad and phone in my car w/o starting the engine? Don’t want to discharge the battery.
...LOL...."no precipitation for at least 60 min" that's real close observation right there...
Same here....fairly cold...I came in and my mustache was a big clump of ice...I chased the wife around but she refused to help me thaw it out...Its -24c with a windchill of -34c its our first cold snap of the year luckily.
Took the snow shoes out for a drive today....it was cold but a great day for a walk.
It's snowing as I type so tomorrow I'll get to do a bit of shoveling...
Are you going snowshoeing? If it opens I’ll try getting in on Saturday.View attachment 1631630
