Weather Where You Are

It was 7'C out yesterday and raining, the temps continually dropped all day and got down to -17'C this morning...good thing there is nowhere to go due to the lockdown as everything is frozen solid out there.

She's cold out there today.....-20'C with the wind chill...went out for a wee show shoe walk and it's nippy on the nose for sure...

Good day for the snowmobilers, although we need a bit more snow for them as the trails are closed right now.

Ha! Quite the opposite here Bill, awoke this morning to 16degC, high of 24, warm winds and some cloud, showers this arvo.
I just dunno how you northerners are able to put up with all that cold and the snow for months and months. I suppose uprooting and shifting south is too much admin?

I personally like the cold and enjoy days when it's really cold and sunny out. Now that I'm retired, I don't stress over winter storms.

I spent my time in very hot climates for months on end and frankly, it was nice to get out of them.

Here in Canada we have very little critters which want to sting, bite or poison us which is nice too.

.....and the real bonus, when it's really cold outside, it keeps all the idiots and jerks inside so it's perfect to go out for me.

I miss the bike but have lots of time to do a detailed cleaning and any maintenance or mods I want to.

Ran a few errands today, and it was about 40F / 4C! A little chilly, but the sun was out, so it was actually kind of nice today! I hate the days when its like 20F / -6C! So today was actually pretty decent!

I am a hot weather guy! Bring on the 90s F/ 30s C! haha

I feel for you PMS afflicted riders (Parked Motorcycle Syndrome). This is my third winter here and the first time not having any snow by mid January. Snow is even sparse in the mountains. Days are coolish but not below 50. Near or at freezing at night though. Tomorrow is supposed to be 45mph wind gusts but in the high 60s. I think I’ll take out the Busa anyway.

No ride today. Power has been out since 11:30 last night and trees and power lines are down everywhere. I’m losing all my stuff in the freezer and my waterbed is getting cold! It’s just 42 outside. Glad I have a gas stove so I have (some) heat inside. Wind gusts were up to 80mph, blew a steel framed Coleman camp chair off my porch and into my driveway. Man it was noisy, like a train passing by but for hours and hours. PG&E first said it would be fixed by 3:00 a.m. then 10:00 a.m. and now they’re saying 6:00 p.m! Suppose I can charge my iPad and phone in my car w/o starting the engine? Don’t want to discharge the battery.

I put in a Generac last spring as we were losing power more and more...it was worth every penny.

Sucks for that to happen to you-be safe.

Power just returned! Just a little over 15 hours. Way better than those poor hurricane folks I guess. Man what a blow! Tree limbs are everywhere and there isn’t a single leaf on the trees. My roof is 17 years old but didn’t lose any shingles. :)

Well, 8 inches of fresh snow last night, I have a plan for today....snow blowing.....I hear the neighbors already doing theirs. At least my other neighbor with his $30k worth of brand new snow mobiles will be safe to talk to as he'll actually be able to ride them now.

It's amazing how quiet those sleds are compared to the 2 stroke ones.

Just went out on a snow shoe march....it's colder than a witches broomstick out there....but it felt good to get out in the air-as cold as it is.

I see a major snow storm is headed for the US east coast.

Nice day dawning here.... currently 6:09am Sunday morning, 7degC, but she’s gonna be a warm one !

Took the snow shoes out for a drive today....it was cold but a great day for a walk.

It's snowing as I type so tomorrow I'll get to do a bit of shoveling...
