More on the QS? What type, install, etc.

Ah, apologies :beerchug:

It's supplied from Woolich racing here in Aus. I believe it's a Cordona unit with a Busa wiring loom.
Basic setting of "force" applied to register a shift and standard or gp shift can be done on the QS own inline controller. The timings for both ignition and fuel cut per gear are done through the ecu.

Due to lockdown, can't do a good test but did sneak a 5km round trip to get fuel yesterday. And couldn't really open it up, but it work great.. smooth as butter.

Fitting it was a bit of a pita. Ended up taking the shifter off to make the assembly and adjustment easier.
But from my short test, it's wicked fun

A pair of Arashi rear-sets [all the Covid budget will allow] the red matches perfectly with the kanji's on fairings and seat.
Some more spikes [bar ends] I know Mr.Brown likes them. Goes with the "death theme" I have going on.Not a huge fan of the grab bar.The tank protector is going too. Then I put it
to bed its O300. Dumb cover I know..."Hey Mr. Thief, guess whats under here." :banghead: Came with the bike.

UPDATE: Rode with them today. Knee killers, knew that was gonna happen even set on lowest, most forward.
The good: Feel solid, the shifter travels about half of what it used to or less.[longer shift rod,I dunno] but it feels like about 3 MM between shifts.Awesome for racing. Bang for the buck, good.Quality look and feel.
The bad: Cant use foot to flip kickstand. Important sorta thing.Have to use hand. I have an aftermarket stand comming so I dont care.
Also, the Busa is faster now, lost weight with rear-sets and bar ends.Spike bar ends should give increased speed and gas mileage.[more areodynamic]
Rubb.

Better not be so quick to get rid of the stock ones...

I noticed you didn't have drop pegs on your stock ones...you should try a set of those.
Did on my 3rd Busa, had the Buell peg mod that was poopular in the day.
Gave them to a visiting member from Seattle, the guy was like 6'5" ,he needed them more than me. Maybe I'll get a set of cheepie adjustable pegs from FleaBay or somewhere. Something like these only not so hideous.
Rubb.

Looked at it longingly . . . then,
removed the bar riser spacers and now have stock height set-up on the bars. Wanna see if my neck and back suffer now, or whether the 1" extra height really helps.
Really cleaned up the' Office' of the Busa, my radar detector was taking up so much room on the top triple clamp, but now it's above the instruments its so much better.

Looking clean! Digging that small speaker. I tried riding with earbuds the other day and it was just uncomfortable. Did like having music though. What bar spacers are you using? I actually need to make a set to raise my bars a 1/2 in so I can lower the front back down to my liking.

John [ GIXXERHP ] used to make them as a kit. 1" rise with longer bolts included. Rubb.

The speaker is used only for audible radar alerts. It’s loud, but at around 130kmh the wind noise starts to take over and at 150kmh plus, you can’t hear it.
I used to use ear buds with a cable to the radar unit, but the cable was constantly rubbing and flailing around on the top of the fuel tank and messing up the paint surface.... so I went to the speaker, I considered using Bluetooth speakers in my helmet but my mate has trouble with his, batteries going flat etc, he’s constantly fiddling with it switching it on and off, so that put me off it.
I got my bar spacers and bolts off Ali Express, about $22 delivered. Not bad price at all.
The quality is good too... spacers didn’t rust, amazing considering how cheap they were and they came from China!
