Beautiful!!! nice work
Does c10 know about this?? Ya must've saved a few grams, how many? he will want the low down on this I guarantee it!

Wow . . . you have a quick shifter? Super sweet, have you done a write up review on it? Did I miss this or what?

Thanks Kiwi, after trying to find a gen2 shifter, (a gen1 has less throw of the shift rod & didn't engage cleanly) decided to have a crack at this..
I actually got the scales out to weigh the difference, but forgot as I was keen to see what it looked like..

And I do, and there was a mention a while ago about the QS. It's one from Woolich Racing and tied into the ecu. Man, I love the thing. Super smooth.. Under acceleration just being able to clip thru the gears and no loss of pull is terribly addictive..
And with the GF on the back, no helmet knocking. :)

I like my quick shifter too....I didn't hook it up first thing in the spring and I sure missed it...

Mine is a Logitech upshift only model...I have to watch carefully as the bike gathers speed really quickly even when you don't want it to.

I jumped on the band wagon and just ordered a set of Pair block off plates....
I have a pair too. Not sure if I will ever get around to using them. I need to get my ECU flashed at some point. My warranty is up the end of next month. Not sure if I will mod anything like that until I see what 2021 brings in bikes.

All Hayabusas have Pair systems...

No need to block them off unless you get a full exhaust done...I have a full system and don't mind the popping but the time has come to put the plates on.

Great work!!

...I'd wager a few others who have their bikes set up for touring will be knocking on your door with sub frames in hand and puppy dog eyes shortly...

Bryan, I would love to see your log book entries for every mod and every ounce of excess fat trimmed from RJ.
I know that being the fastidious motorcycle weight reduction clinician that you are, you are gonna have that log book stashed away somewhere in c10's Garage, and I want pics from some of the pages posted up here soon as. OK?

Cowling Brace Replacement.
  • Pull nose assembly
  • Pull Cowling Brace
  • Replace
  • Reassemble
I estimated 8 hour job and that was about right. Had I known what I was doing it woulda been 4 hrs
Lotsa thanks to @Mythos and @Blanca BusaLess for excellent tutorials posted on this site. Thanks to @Mr Brown for advising in a post about 18 mos ago to "take your time". You were right, and I did.

Wondering if this old one is OEM ...

The new one going in ...

Inside of the nose assembly, white writing indicating this bike had damage; this is either a sourced used part or someone labeled parts during a disassembly.

The culprit - cause of a wobbly mirror condition. Both L and R side pieces had to be forced out of the fairing component

As I've said before, under what circumstances do you end up shearing a sub-frame component??

Anyway, it's fixed!
