Started disassembly of my big valve head to send out to get freshened

The one thing I hate about new bikes… that damn sticky grease on the chain that coats the wheel and swingarm…. An hour with a mild degreaser, because sometimes that stuff will dull the paint, some quality car wash soap and good old elbow grease and she’s still not perfect but.... I’ll get it all off soon enough.

Dampen a rag with WD40 and wipe the chain as you spin it (with your hand). Doesn’t take long at all and really cleans the chain well.

Shipped the Blue K8 to the dealer for the Gearbox to be rebuilt due to negligent previous owners and polished the endurance tank which will be going on second week of January.

I know what you mean! The frist thing, when i get a new bike, is to clean the chain. I use chain cleaner or gasoline with a little bit motoroil in it. Then i use my own Chainlube from S1000, but even then, after a ride, you find it everywhere on the Bike.

head was used for 4 years scattered 2 pistons and started just using stock heads that I open up for 1/2 studs till I got my tune/tuning skills better
head has been sitting for like 5 years now

I know what you mean! The frist thing, when i get a new bike, is to clean the chain. I use chain cleaner or gasoline with a little bit motoroil in it. Then i use my own Chainlube from S1000, but even then, after a ride, you find it everywhere on the Bike.

Gasoline to clean a chain? Generally that's not good for the O rings...kerosene is a better choice.

Prolly sending it to Port-Tech they freshened it before long ago

Hi. Rick did my head with +1mm intake and exhaust they are Inconal he also did bronze seats on the exhaust side and bronze guides we used PAXX springs and Webb cams that DME had custom ground to there spects.

This is a Stetson head that has just been freshened a couple times

Those intake ports look huge. Almost big enough to fit a fist in.
Im guessing it would flow like Niagara

When Port-Tech freshened it the first time he asked if I mined if he Flowed it
His comment was 1570+cc right?

Had to wash her after her ride in torrential rain but friday is forecast warm and dry! All cleaned up new tyres (200/55/17) and one tooth down on front sprocket
