What did you do to your Gen 3 today?

Drove it the FARTHEST distance to date…..25 feet.

Shook my fist at Alaska, then parked it and put it back on its stands.
ODO: 000000
Still.

Is the bubble one of these here? Often thought they might be worth the dough just to keep the poop off the bike over the long winter. I go in and out of the garage all winter as I do not have a man door - so opens the big door wind blows crap all over but have not pulled the trigger never knew anyone that actually had one of them to be honest. I assume you keep it in there year round or only for the winter?

Guys, its a car capsule brand, had it for 15+ yrs, hate the spring cleanup, it keeps it rust and corrosion free, and dustless..the exhaust I got right from japan to bypass all the foolishness here with our shipping mess.

Keith, hope you also got the db killer..without it its unbearable on start up..I really dont give a F about pissing of my neighbors, but, its sooo deep it aggravates me..lol

Got my new levers in from China already. They look nice, was in between phones when they arrived so didn't snap any pictures, but will soon. May try to install this weekend to test them out, already hating the red adjuster, lol.

I haven't tried to pick up the front of my bike or even looked closely to do so. I have an old front stand with the nipples on the end that went in the center of each fork that I used on my Gen1 & 2 (and 01 SV650).... Anyone know if it can that still be used on this one? I've had this front stand for 19yrs may be good time to upgrade regardless.

It should, there are only 4 or 5 standard lower triple clamp pin hole sizes, and they usuallay only vary by brand.
And the pin doesn't have to be an exact fit, a small amount of play will work, but you'll easily be able to tell.
Good time for a Bursig or a Skylift.

I was resetting my oil light last night and was going to look at the forks/stand and forgot, lol. I think it may be time for a front lift upgrade finally.

Wish I could recall brand stand I have, I remember buying it and the matching rear for like $90 back in the day... the good ole days!

Just random pictures of my brake levers. The adjuster won't be easy to powdercoat to ditch the red, but we'll see. One thing I didn't expect with them is while the levers are fairly standard levers, they come with separate pieces that allow them to attach directly to the bike. There's a baggie with sleeves, spring, etc so will need to somewhat assemble them before installing.

If I use them, will have to find some matching black bolts for them.

Or a Sharpie, especially for bolts. I considered Sharpie or painting like I did on the Gen2, but would like something a little more permanent and bonus would be if I can use my accent color for them. :)
Do those red pieces come off? If so I'd take them apart, prep them properly and then paint them the color you want...you paid a lot for this bike, there is no sense cheaping out on painting these.

...or ASV's:poke:
FYI
For the last several years now,
ASV offers their levers, And adjuster wheels in various colors.
Years back their adjusters were red only, but now black, blue, and silver are available.
I have used cheapo levers on several machines, and they work fine in most cases, but I put ASV's on everything eventually.
I even have them on my Raptor 700 now.
And they Are available in standard or shortys for the Gen3 now.
Pricey, but the finest adjustment of any lever on the market, along with the best service and warranty.

I got black adjusters on mine...but forgot to order the clutch adjuster in black...so red it is.
I can get a black one cheap through their replacement parts.

+1
High end bike needs high end parts.
Another reason I don't have a gen3 yet...as I have severe mod sickness.
Bst's are somewhere in the future...and I can't shake the idea of a supercharger with recent threads.
$40k in a motorcycle scares me, lol
