What did you do to your other motorcycle today ?

Rain will always wait until you finish drying the vehicle before new drops start dropping from above. Could be 120 degrees outside, not a cloud in sight, not a rain shower in a week, and suddenly, sky wants to pee exactly when you want to ride.
That or a pigeon or seagull who spots a freshly washed bike or car and just has to mark it....

Man, this made me sad reading it! :(
He was a great guy....oddly enough when I first met him we bumped heads and it took a while for us to warm up to each other...

He loved the fact I had a garage full of Suzukis......that's what inspired him to buy a Hayabusa....

His widow really didn't want his sons to get the Hayabusa so when I refused it, she sold it and in those days, it was a quick sell....some guy from 3 hours away came for it and she asked me to handle the sale and be there when it was picked up.

Yeah. Some friendships start when there's friction, ha-ha! I've also made good friendships after initially not standing the guy and having to slowly acquire a taste for him! :p Once that dissolved, a strong bond developed.

Also, that's so heartwarming that she wanted you to take care of the business and bid farewell to the bike. You're a good friend! ❤️

HaHaHa. I'm like the opposite. I start out with the "I like them" and it becomes " I no longer like them". Once I get to that stage, it doesn't usually goes back to "I like them" again.

Translation. Once I think someone's an arsehole, that's the category they stay in.

Yep, once a person shows their true colors, there’s no going back to them, just not worth being around that person, male or female.

Everybody is entitled to a bad day. Or having a bad moment or two. They don't generally become an orifice because of that. But once they reach orifice level, it's as you say because the true colors show themselves. Then it's Sianara.

I feel you! That's my default human experience. I have such a low tolerance for transgressions. If I have you in high regards and you disappoint me greatly, you go on the low regards tier and never recover. I'll still treat you in a friendly way, but you lose friend benefits.

It's a different offense from initially being unlikable and winning my heart, ha! :p

Sianara? Is that an alternate version of Sayonara? :D

All I did to it was wring a 178 Smiles out of it.

I bought a minty 2010 GSX1250FA yesterday...

... and spent today registering and insuring it, then gave it a good cleaning. Of course it started raining once I was finished so now I wait...

Isn't that basically a liquid cooled, fuel-injected Bandit with bags?
I forgot those exhisted, and don't thing I've ever seen one in person.
Can you give some more info, and pics?
Are the forks adjustable?
Cool bike

They stopped calling them a Bandit when this bike came out. All the Bandits used the same air/oil engine out of the GSXR, this engine is unique to this bike...it wasn't used in anything else (at least here in North America).

In my opinion they were a far better tour mount than the GSX1000GT....

The suspension left a lot to be desired though as it was a bargain basement set up.....much like the Bandit was.

How do I know anything about this bike you ask? I was introduced to it when I had my Bandit and rode with a couple of guys that had them.....they really liked them and I was almost going to buy one to add to my fleet but never did even though I did a lot of research.

Cool
I need another bike to dump money in like I need a hole in the head...
lol
I would like to ride one, and a suspension swap is easy.
They are liquid cooled, right?

The forks have adjustment on the top, but it's minimal.

Here's a site with brochure scans (among other Suzuki content): Suzuki GSX1250FA brochures

Now that I have had both, I totally agree with you. The new 1000GT is an exciting high-revving manic thing for ripping up twisty roads whereas the 1250FA is a low-revving torque-monster more conducive for actual touring. Suzuki kept the gearing from the GSX1000S and Katana for the GT (and presumably the new GX) so at 100kph (60mph) the bike is revving at 5500rpm where the 1250FA is at 3000rpm. Far more relaxing and exactly what I wanted, hence why I only had the GT for less than a year.
