What percent of riders have been 150 mph

I would say better than maybe 70% of sport riders have gone there at least once. I know I have.

Maxed out the speedo many times thru the years, but how fast it really was with the errors and all, pretty much anyones guess.

Have been north of 180 a couple of times. We have a road out here called Sun Valley. It is over 30 miles long of almost straight roads with only a couple of side streets that come out to it. It is a great road to twist the throttle and watch the broken lines become one.:cheerleader::thumbsup:

Consider me in the minority. Through accelerating, I've been to 140 indicated. Not where I venture often. In cars, I've taken Lambos, Ferarris, and Shelbys to quite a bit north of the buck fifty mark. Not comfortable enough on a 2 wheeler though. I'm a wuss without 4 wheels and bags!!!

I have hit 150 on the Busa and around 140 on the Warrior. Big difference, talk about holding on. Hard to stay on the cruiser at those speeds with the air hitting you square in the chest.Noew the busa very smooth at those speeds.

Tell the cruiser guys how fast you've been by the speedometer. Never tell them that the speedometer is off. There's no way they'll ever know the difference. It aint like they can stay behind and check our speed with their bike.. I've seen 150 on my speedo and as far as I'm concerned, That's exactly how fast I was goin.:cheerleader:

After reading all these comments my question would be ???

How many REALLY TELL THE TRUTH

dude.. 150 is sooo 1990's!

fastest so far on the Busa for me is 180ish on the speedo (on a closed course of course :))

i would think prob somewhere in the 30+ percent area. 150 is comfortable on a bike that does it so easy and smooth but finding an area safe for it can be hard to come by. 185 speedo indicated however on a two lane country road has a rather large pucker factor  i would recommend not doing that and save it for an airport strip or something similar

I hit 150 - 155 on the busa...
yes, a kawasaki was involved  I would have kept going, but I didn't want to embarrass him too bad

Speedo read 170 once. That's the most I've seen. I figure it was around 150 in reality.

Hi. Fist time on this site. Last year on my GSXR 750 i wanted to see how far the top end speed would go on for and what it would feel like so wound open the throttle and held on...156 was as far as it got before i bailed it, sat up and eased off the throttle. The bike was still pulling! Fantastic.

Have always dreamed of owning a busa and hope to one day.

For now to get the dream alive i got the busa logo as a logo. Love it!

What do you think?

I've done all out on my 06 Busa, and 125 mph "with" the trailer, but um.... in my drive way, closed course. Never on a public highway :laugh::laugh::laugh:
