Who Rode Today?

Fall is here...it was a balmy 65'F out there today but I squeezed in a short 120km ride...the black and yellow beastie liked the cool air and really reacted quickly to throttle inputs...

I saw a few other brave souls out there on bikes, they were passing through the area I guess as they were laden down with gear...

I had to wick the old girl up a notch or two when I was being dogged by a car riding my back side....

A good squirt or two of the throttle and the car disappeared into the distance...it still amazes me how tractable and good handling this bike is...

I stopped at the water front where a Tesla owner was sitting in his car...I asked him how he liked it and he said there are a few issues with it but he is into it for so much he can't afford to get rid of it.

I asked him what he thought of the Plaid edition and he said they had better have a good place to charge it up....all the time....and at $170,000 Cdn, we won't be seeing many of them around. He said even with his car if he gets heavy footed it gets thirsty for a charge, he can only imagine how thirsty that Plaid would be.

He also said he got a safety bulletin to not charge his car inside due to the chance of a fire....he said that sure made him feel a little more than worried.

Sounds like perfect riding weather.. Not too hot or cold that you loose concentration.

Still reckon we should be doing more for hydrogen fuel cell development. Much better for big, open countries where we currently can and do drive for 8-10 hours in a stint.

Went for a night ride after work to clear my head and wind down from the 80 + hour working week, managed to take a couple good pictures in a closed industrial estate. She’s running better and better each time I ride her and the dash looks terrific at night.

@Dai. , Your beast is a full house , Aussie built beauty bro , and that dash is the icing on the cake . Everytime I see this bike , I am reminded what I am still wanting for my Busa . Sure is a desirable Busa , and credit to your detail eye bro .

Told the old gal if she got excited when I turned her key I’d give her a bath and a run around the block. Well, having a slipped disk does not feel well when riding but I made her a promise…… :) Now for pain management and Netflix

Your a great guy for keeping your promise and putting yourself thru pain to let her stretch her legs. Sure hope u had some pie with that Netflix and pain management ;)

Went with dad on a 9/11 memorial ride held by our local Harley Davidson shop. Ended up leading a group of 50 riders! Ride ended at the "Field of Valor" where they plant a flag for every service member from Florida that has died since 9/11/01

Then we were invited into a First Responder parade to one of the high schools! Got to ride through town with police-fire-EMS escort and a retired NYPD member, who was there 'that day'.
Yes we rode in pants. Just stripped into kilts after the ride :firing:

Got in about 160 miles today from the foothills to 7,582’ at the Tamarack Ridge above Huntington Lake. 74 instead of 97 degrees!!! Man it’s nice up there but the fire ravaged areas are still hard to look at. See this one hillside where the fire ripped thru the center section but not up on top or below? Energy crews were everywhere burying their power lines (for the next fire).

Since the west has unfortunately been on fire for several years; what are the burnt areas looking like now?
Have any of the fire areas from last season came back green this year?
Are there many areas where people are rebuilding yet?
I hate to watch coverage of it because I can't imagine the devastation it has really caused, man and animals alike.
