Video from yesterday testing 50/50 V rated tires , Avon's did well even turning around in the gravel was easy . From road to gravel @ 60 mph with a brief peak of 126 mph . However the Triumph reads about 5 mph fast after 55 mph .

After repairs / new rear tire Alex's Ultra classic is ready to ride . I had to ride it around the block like a HD guy with zero gear .

I got out for a 100kms or so....it is a great day out, 70'F, sunny with a slight breeze.

The leaves are just starting to change so the scenery is getting nice...

I took a bunch of pictures but when I went to down load them, they mustn't have saved as they aren't on my fancy-pansy phone....

My RDL seat came in , and so did the new gun .
Hung out after closing with owner.
Ginger ale not beer in my glass though I bought some nice IPA for the other gun enthusiasts.

Got the itch to get HIGH so I headed north up and down the Golden Chain hiway to 108 and over the Sonora Pass to (almost Nevada) then 395 south to the eastern entrance to Yosemite and crossed back over the Tioga Pass on 120…then 41 and home. 336 total miles. From Lee Vining near the 120 cutoff to the park where I paid just over $12 for 2.019 gallons of 91 octane (TWO GALLONS) I got 56mpg! Just rolling thru the mountains….tall green trees everywhere, lakes, empty two lanes… Was a very nice ride. Pics are from both passes and they don’t do the scenery justice. Expand them to full screen, they’ll look better.

Got in 330kms , started off sunny and 12deg at 08:30 this morn within a couple hours or so it dropped to 5deg and patchy rain - it was predicted so i wore my textiles and stayed dry .

Did 104 miles in the moonlight last night.
Peaceful, almost no traffic, temps in the low to mid 50's, lots of deer and critters, they are pretty mindful of traffic and not an issue for me, lol.
Led headlights are bright and really decent for stock, but still cast shadows into turns, definately needs some light pods near the wheel pointing out to the sides for good vision at night.
The dam at a local lake, I found out how bad night time pictures really are on this phone, so I didn't try anywhere else.

May I ask, do you use a phone for pics or a digital SLR?
They always look so damn good.
Do you use auto settings or switch to manual? -some look like longer exposure settings

Thanks. In this batch I modified only one shot as the mountain at a distance was kinda dark. Just experimenting. I use an iPhone XR with auto settings. This is what it looked like before.

I got out for a wee ride...it was a balmy 60'F out and the bike liked it a lot more than I did...when you give the throttle a bit of a twist in these temperatures, it will sure straighten your arms in a hurry...

Even the leaves are turning yellow....

....but I imagine it's burned into your brain to be scanning the bushes for bad guys...don't f with the old soldier mowing his grass, lol.
I do enjoy mowing though, it's an escape.
Where else can I drink beer, drive in circles...and not get arrested??
