Who Rode Today?

der Armeehelm sehr schon
Hi. We went for a ride in RI. Nice twisty roads switch backs. Went to a national park $3.00 a night fee. You can also bring your horse they have trails for riding a 200 by 350 foot ring all for free. Later we went and picked up some hay.

Took the Busa for a 100 mile romp. Nice weather, a bit windy but nice. Very few bikes out despite the good weather. Sadly I ran over a beautiful silver squirrel. He ran out right in my lane, right where I was going, stopped and turned around and as I passed and lost sight of him I felt a thump. He must have turned back around right in my wheel path. I don’t swerve and risk crashing for anything smaller than a dinner plate. Still, I don’t like killing anything. I wish evolution had done these animals a solid by making them stay away from pavement. They should turn around or haul azz the moment their feet touch black top.

I know it’s an army helmet design but it’s probably a clone and not the Kevlar issue. And still, eeeeewwww on a motorcycle. What’s next, sandals with socks?
I got that helmet with the sole intention of pissing off a buddy that rides. He is so anti-German that he can’t see past his own nose. Since I am German, I thought it was fitting…….lol.

I laughed when I read that......my dad was the original "Archie Bunker" who hated everyone equally especially Germans because he lost his dad to them in WW2.....

We did some family tree work and it took a while to get info back and he died before we found out his dad and grandparents were born in New York (Babylon Long Island) but both their ancestry was German......too bad he died before I could tell him that.....I would have liked to see the look on his face.....

My grandparents came off the boat from Germany. Grandma didn’t speak English very well but if we were in trouble its was strictly German, and the quieter she got, the worse you got. I used to piss off my school every time they asked if I was white. Nope, I’m German….lol. That leaves people wondering wtf

There was a time when I was fluent in German (and French)....it came in handy when we were in the Balkans as many of those countries spoke German.
