I have two best girlfriends that I met in kindergarten. Till this day we are as close as ever.
This morning one of my friends woke up to find her husband had packet his stuff and left. He wanted out, but did not leave any info.
In talking with a lot of the other Gen "X"r's we graduated with, this seems te normal.

So, In taking the longest way possible to ask my question....What was the absulute worst situation/time/way that someone ended a relationship with you>

My ex wouldn't talk to me for 3 or 4 days. I left a 3 page letter on the counter for her telling her that I was willing to do whatever it took to make things work, then I left for work.

3 days later she left a 3 page letter for me telling me that I was the sole cause for all of her issues in her life. She claimed she needed therapy because of me, and that I was the worse thing that has ever happened to me. She didn't come home until 2 days later.

She started dating a little over a year since our divorce. She has not attended any kind of therapy, nor will she. She just moved in with her current fling last month.

I was nothing more to her than an open wallet to support her and her children. I guess I learned my lesson. Don't get married.

Tru- WTF! thats insane, she has issues, to say the least. as for ended relationships for me, nothin to crazy, just the normal " this isnt workin" ive been fortunate in that respect

The odds are stacked against a relationship lasting.....if it was gambling, the relationships would lose to the house the majority of the time.....not promising odds when your hearts on the line.

Well almost 3 months ago my wife of 7 years decided she wanted to be single and party so she left that night on my bday saying she wanted time apart. Hell 3 days after she left "btw never telling me any issue she might have had in our whole relationship" her parents show up at my door to pack her stuff. I tried to make contact with her and have not been able to this whole time hell I havnt even seen divorce papers yet lol. Thats a pretty childish crappy way to end it with someone after that long.

O and truwrecks a few months ago I would have told you **** happens and not all marrages are like that so dont give up and marry again but now lol hell brotha Im right there with you marrage seems like a waist of time theese days no offence ladys but even the sain ones will screw you in the end. Mine ex was fine with the for better but when the economy took a crap and I lost my job, the worse was present and she bailed on me.

The wife and I were coming home from a dinner out one night. I could tell something was bugging her and asked if she wanted to talk about anything. She said "No", she was OK, just thinking.. I said OK, no problem and left it alone.. It was about 5 more minutes into the ride home, and my loving little sweetheart said she had met a guy at the golf course (she had quit her job with my blessings to pursue a career as a professional golfer), and she say's she felt he was her true love, and was the whole reason for her existence... WOW.... What do you say ?? I was speechless for a moment, then laughed a little thinking it was a joke. Nope, she found her true love and it was for real. She say's she is going to start dating him, and is that OK ?? WTF ?? You are asking me if it is OK ?? F@ck me to tears, you gotta be kidding ??.... I took off my wedding ring while still driving, put it in her hand, and said "You should give him this to wear then"... She looked shocked, but said nothing. When we got home, I told her to pack her belongings and leave. It was the hardest thing to say, as I loved her, but I felt extremely betrayed.. She said she had nowhere to go. I said she should go to her true love, he should be very happy to have her all to himself with no interference from the husband.. Their "True Love" lasted about 2 weeks, then he decided that apparently the whole "Love" thing was a mistake for him...... Life is funny sometimes.....

I dated the same girl for 7 yrs well she was invited to be the maid of honor in her best friends wedding... I being the good boyfriend ask if I should get a tux or just wear a nice outfit... well she started acting weird and the closer and closer it got to the wedding the further and further she was distancing herself from me... well wedding weekend comes I bought a new outfit to wear and find out the day before the wedding Im not allowed to come seeing the place will be "too packed" and the dinner was "100 dollars a plate" well I offer to pay 500 just to see my lovely gf be apart of something so special and see her all dressed up... well still no dice... she comes over before the wedding and lets me see her all dressed up then leaves... well no word from her that night and 2 days later shes still acting weird so I go see her... shes acting really weird but wont say anything then tells me its best I go home... no your dumped no goodbye just kinda ended it like that... yup a few months later I find out shes dating the best man in that wedding and then later find out she got married to him and has a kid with him now... it just blew my mind cause it was completely out of left field she was the love of my life and just ended without any closer whatsoever... I hit the bottle pretty heavy after that seeing my grandma died a few weeks later... but now we are kinda friendly after 5+ yrs of hardly not talking at all... sadly shes not happy with the guy at all and works 2 jobs while he works part time while she pays all the bills for the house and stuff... some might be happy with that outcome but in all reality it breaks my heart... we still chat once in a while and everytime I get choaked up and have to make an excuse to why I have to get off the phone... I would love to be the man to sweep her off her feet again... but I made alot of bad decisions during those years away from each other and theres no way I could go back to her with all my issues and problems... O well sorry so long...:banghead:

I frickin` left my last girlfriend when I found out she went number two!

EWWwwwwwWWWWWWW!!!!!!!!!

That ruined it! :banghead: :rofl::rofl::rofl::lol:

I've been the one to end all the relationships that I was ever in; Everything was done on the up and up so no bad situations to relate. I've been married 27 years as of now...

Same here. I'm really not a relationship kinda person, but the ladies are always trying for that commitment, so when it starts to get too serious I gotta go  What happened to casual relationships anyways? Who wants all that heartbreaking $hit ??? Lifes too short to spend it crying in your beer :beerchug:

Well if he moved out....let him go. Wait for the papers to come.
Move on!
I did the samething to a g/f....after I caught her cheating on me

Dated this chick for about 6 years. Got engaged. Joined the military to give us a good life and the night before I graduated basic training, I called her and the first thing out of her mouth was " It's over I found someone else". Most of my AIT I stayed drunk. But I have a loving wife, 2 kids, and the best busa family anyone can want now, so to hell with her.

Wow, I feel for you guys. Those breakups you posted were brutal to say the least. Maybe it's a good thing I've yet to marry or find "Ms. Right". I've been in a couple LTR's that I ended for various reasons. Yes they were heartbreaking, but you guys take the cake.

Mine went on Meth. If yer wired Yer fired. I'm gone.
Haven't met one I could trust yet, and I've been around.

I got divorce papers served on me back in 1990. At work on a friday afternoon, with a restraining order. I couldn't go home and I hadn't done anything wrong as far as I know. So, I went to the deer camp for the weekend. Wasn't a very pleasent time I tell ya. Well now she lives in TN. and is not very happy from what I can understand. Kids are grown and no more child support payments. Oh, when the kids got old enough they moved back here with me and is where they are today.:cheerleader:

Wow! I did not expect so many brutal stories. Anyone have anything funny...?

In the words of the Elephant Man, "I am a human being". (as opposed
