Your 1 stop post for all the info...

Keep the figures coming... Who really is driving the farthest distance? Ks has a little something for The person who travels the farthest distance to be at the Meet-N-Greet! I promise it will be something that not just anyone can get.......

I dunno if the Canadians are driving the longest distance.....

A basic guestimate from Mapquest says
Total Est. Time: 28 hours, 13 minutes Total Est. Distance: 1766.71 miles.  Actual route will bring the trip to 2000+/- miles and 2 days.

Total Est. Time: 22 hours, 52 minutes Total Est. Distance: 1448.29 miles

im not sure of the exact ending point, but that gives me an estimate of what im up against.

So yah zukracer

I'm thinking on leaving Wednsday, getting there  Friday. I figure 2-3 days. Plan on a bit of site seeing, Yogi Bear and Yellowstone park.

75 Busas and other assorted rides rolling thru the mountains is gonna be one great lookin sight. August better hurry itself along.

I could be one of the farthest ones coming.
It will be a little over 2200 miles for me.
Need riding buddies( out and back),a place or two to crash along the way, and someone to split a room with me.
But even if I don't figure anything out I will just show up anyways.

Hey chev982, looking forward to hooking up with you and all the board members

ok, called and talked to a lady at RPM. She is going to give me a call when tickets are available but whom ever was working with the organizers for the booth/tent/whatever for the group (I think I recall reading that) might wanna just call and talk to them about tickets. She mentioned a group rate for groups over 10 people so thats a nice bonus
cool.gif

btw, the email address on the site is bad because the guy that used to work with them left the group....so they are gonna fix that soon too
wink.gif

checking the map here ..... if I stick to the route of heading to Conway AR to see some friends for a night on the way and then into Copper, I'll be right at 2000+- miles for the one way trip. The return trip is looking to be a little longer at ~2500miles

Roundtrip = ~4500miles

I hate to say I dropped the ball on this. Got so caught up in the Meet-N-Greet I forgot about Cyclefest..... Let me do some checking (Sounds like I'll be repeating what you already said)....

Hey chev, I'm all for riding.... I just like to travel smarter
wink.gif
save my butt a little pain by sitting in the leather captains chair instead of the saddle. I actually am toying with renting a truck to tow my bike with instead of putting that many miles on my truck.
rock.gif
Anyone ever rented a vehicle and driven it xcountry? I'm not gonna do some jackass the movie crazy demo derby with it
wink.gif
just put a ton o miles on it

KS, The lady I talked to said that it was her and one dude working that end of it. She was really nice so if you call up there I'm sure she'll get you all the info. They definately aren't selling tickets yet so no big rush, though you might get some killer deals for us .... shoot for paddock & the "bigdog" pass and maybe a tour for one low low lwo price

Hey when are the dates for cyclefest? Also will there be shower places cause i was thinking like zuk and renting an suv and just sleep in there? Who do i give money to for a space on there lot?

bass boss, welcome to the Meet-N-Greet posting! Hope you can make it to this event. Him, looks like things might work out for you after all..... Try checking the list for the folks camping and see whos got room. I bet just about everyone does at this point. It's my understanding that the campgrounds have shower facilities, I could be wrong....... Ks

I'm probably sleepin in the truck thursday night, but have reservations at the resort friday night-sunday morning. All depends on when I get to Copper..... ya know the 2000mile drive, there's gonna be some variation that will no doubt impact my arrival time
