Your 1 stop post for all the info...

Also will there be shower places cause i was thinking like zuk and renting an suv and just sleep in there? Who do i give money to for a space on there lot?
hey HIM
thought u and i were meeting at your place and then riding down?
I keep having to hear the misses ##### so i may not be able to. Ill try and give her the it will be no fun speech and see if it flies. Id much rather go by myself. My biggest concern was the cost it would be for a room. I was thinking like this

60-90 bucks for 3 nights
1 tire down there and one tire back (rear)
gas there and back
food there
money for parts (cyclefest)

Im looking at well over 600 bucks, but ill see if can make it happen. Even if i dont go youre still welcome to crash at my crib

see its that tire part that has me trailering

I'm still considering renting a SUV for the drive out there, pull my trailer and bike .... save the 5k miles on my truck and tranny pulling in the rockies

oh yeah, dont forget food on the way back

Hey chev, I'm all for riding.... I just like to travel smarter
wink.gif
save my butt a little pain by sitting in the leather captains chair instead of the saddle.   I actually am toying with renting a truck to tow my bike with instead of putting that many miles on my truck.

Anyone ever rented a vehicle and driven it xcountry?  I'm not gonna do some jackass the movie crazy demo derby with it
wink.gif
just put a ton o miles on it

KS, The lady I talked to said that it was her and one dude working that end of it.  She was really nice so if you call up there I'm sure she'll get you all the info.  They definately aren't selling tickets yet so no big rush, though you might get some killer deals for us .... shoot for paddock & the "bigdog" pass and maybe a tour for one low low lwo price

Thanks again for all the work you are doing, if you need any help just let me know.

To chime in "Tire Concerns" where one of my first thoughts when the polls got started for the event.
I once again say we need a supply of them(tires) that can either be purchased at reasonable costs there or have them dropped shipped to an local address already prepaid for from your favorite internet vender.
My solution:
Put a high milage slab tire on a week or so before I need to leave .
Burn that one on the way out and do a quick tire changeout sometime Fri morning to a nice sticky Michelin Power or Pilot Sport HPX.
So what can I do to help solve this little issue ?

just get some good sport touring tires before ya leave and you should be fine as long as you don't get crazy with burnouts or rompings much a tire should last you there and back if you boys and girls can be good should get ya 5000 miles at least if not better

THEY ARE TAKING RESERVATIONS, GO TO THE LINK I PROVIDE AND CALL TO MAKE RESERVATIONS.
RESERVATIONS... CLICK ME!
If you call ASAP you can get the rates posted on that site (within a few dollars) These are Vendor rates! Not sure how long they will do this. One nights fees will hold your reservation. You can cancel up to thirty days before arrival. 10% fee charged... Or within thirty days YOU LOSE ALL YOUR MONEY... You don't have to worry about blocked rooms the resort is small enough it didn't really matter. Most of the rooms listed will sleep 2-4 adults. Call and ask if you have questions, the rates don't changed based on occupancy! If there's only one or four the fee's remain the same. I did some price comparison to other motels/hotels in the area and found the prices to be in line with the cost of staying directly at Copper Mtn... So, I didn't persue this avenue to far. If anyone comes up with something better than Vendor prices POST UP.... Looking forward to meeting everyone!

So far people planning on attending... (H, Reservations Made Copper Mtn Resort),( © Reservations Made Camping), (O, Reservations Made Other), (L, Local) (? Tenatively planned)

uh oh more money spent...so lets add teh 35 bucks times two for tire changes. THe link for the reservations doesnt work

i never even thought of tires, doh, oh well. HIM maybe we can organize something for the wives to do, is there a mall around? im sure the ladies will need new shoes haha

I haven't been to Cyclefest before but I would be very surprised if there isn't an oil change booth set up somewhere. During Sturgis they are everywhere.

either that or just bring the stuff to do it in the parking lot
wink.gif
probably cheaper and you can always dump the old oil at a local advanced auto or something
cool.gif

Well if it really needed to be done and people was gona be really nice to me i would consider trailering down and we could use it i have a 7X 16 enclosed that i have setup with tools and such thats if i don't end up selling it

For those who want tires the best prices in town are at Performance Cycle in Denver. The tires are cheaper than what I have seen online. The only draw back is that they dont mount them, there are a few shops around there that do though. If you guys want to order some tires off the internet and have them shipped to me I can store them in the garage for anyone. Also for those of you who want to do oil changes I can set that up in my garage as well. Most likely on Friday or even Thursday afternoon if people want to do that. So for those people passing through denver that might be an option. Let me know, Karl.
