I’ve read that Kawasaki couldn’t get the Euro 5 emissions sorted out on the Zx14 and are struggling with the H2 platform. That’s what is killing the ZX14.
I saw a carbon H2 for sale here and they wanted $54K for it……..yikes!
Yes , euro 5 killed off both the ZX14R ( ZZR1400 in Europe ) and more recently the H2 Ninja solo , the model same as my bikes i pictured previously .
The carbon version is slightly more expensive than my standard version 2023 and 2015 , but only matt paint and top carbon fairing differs .
The thing about H2 Ninja , is that version has its own special production line . It is mostly tech ( ie; human ) assembled , the cylinder head is specially ported , inconel valves are used . There are many other unique pieces fitted on that model . It is a special order bike from factory , largely similar to the non road H2R version . If it is not on the showroom floor to buy , they are most likely sold out for that year .
When you order a Ninja H2 , you sign a contract with deposit paid , with disclaimer that if Kawasaki up the price before delivery , you will also pay this on top of signed deal . The decision to stop sales of Ninja H2 in Europe added $ to the rest of world H2 market .
That was why I got lucky with the new 2023 H2 , I was intending going in to put down deposit on 2024 that would of cost $6K more for same bike .
