$.45 cruise control

What the small o ring does it provides grip to the bar end so when you turn the bar end to tighten, it turns the screw

Oh yeah and ther other reason is that Im partly an idiot, and I NEED good instructions to keep from f-in up stuff

ok this is really simple, all you do is remove your bar end if you find a washer remove it , reinstall the bar end and tighten the screw, if that locks the throttle remove the bar end put the screw through the barend and put a small o ring over the screw like in fate's picture. you should have the bar end screw and o ring as one unit. reinstall the bar end , when you tighten it it should hold the throttle, un screw it and it will only unscrew so far then just spin freely but will tighten up and hold the throttle
Now if you remove the bar end and find no washer then you need the large o ring around you throttle barrel so when you reinstall the bar end it hold the throttle maybe you'll need 2, anyway when you get to the point the bar end holds the throttle remove the bar end install the small o ring as in the first paragraph and your done

Ok so off with the bar ends this weekend and off to Home Crepot to look for washers it is, wish me luck

just got home from a short 165 mile trip... I had to use 2 large O-rings, but they worked great... The bike held a solid 80mph for about 8-10 miles perfectly (interstate)... A very good fix if you don't have the cash for the TM or AVs.

hey blkdrgn ride down to port charlotte I'll install one for free

that goes for anyone come to my house and it's free, parts and labor

I had to take the small o-ring off of the screw ('08), because with it on, it didn't work - just 2 large o-rings only works fine
