$.45 cruise control

I had to take the small o-ring off of the screw ('08), because with it on, it didn't work - just 2 large o-rings only works fine

Don't give up bro, keep on trying... pretty soon you'll find the right combo!

What size O rings did you use for the large ones?

The small oring hold the screw in place so the bar end will spin, Lycan, you have 08 so my pics are different. Mine works great still, you do need to check the bar end once in a while, it gets loose after this mod. I just tighten it when sitting at a stop light and have nothing better to do.

i really must be dumb cause it no worky for me
Its not hard, man. Goto a hardware store, get a 1-1/16" ID O-ring, and stretch it over your bar end onto your grip. When you want to use it, slide it over into the little channel between your bar end and grip. You'll need a pretty thick O-ring to get it to hold it, though. I use a 1-1/16"x3/16". Cost after taxes = $.52.

Good luck, and make sure you practice with it (bike off) before you try riding with it. happened to me on my old CR250. Fun times.

Went to Ho-Po and purchased three sizes (#15, 17 and 18)...none of them work. They were the thickest they had and fall into the gap between the bar end and the throttle and don't hold, the throttle just closes slower.

Mine is an 06' so it may just work on the 08' which looks to have a more narrow gap based on the pics.

Mine is an 06, next time you are in this neck of the woods, I will hook you up or Dan can hook you up

I had a problem with the bar end just spinning and not getting tight on the center bolt. I took a 6MM NYLOK nut and then drilled a "counter sink" or round hole big enough to get the nut flush with the inside of the bar end (mine are plastic). This made the bar end and the center bolt one piece. Now it works fine. (this was on a 2001) I would assume if you could find a THINNER nut and lock tight it (red) it would do the same and still get tight enough to hold the o-ring without having to counter sink it (on a metal bar end).
