Volcanic eruption 3.4 million years ago blew down all these redwood trees at the same time. I really can't wrap my head around that.

They look like trees, but they're not. They're 3.4 million year old rocks. Crazy. And the redwoods were 2000 years old when they were blown down. Still can't wrap my head around that.

There is no wrapping your head around any of it...because it's nonsense.
Yes, all very old...but the exact age...no one knows.
Why?
Because carbon dating is extremely flawed.
And; did you know that fossils are dated based on what layer of the earth that they came out of.
And, here's where it gets Really good...the layer of earth is dated by....the fossils that are found in them...
Yes, you read that correctly.
Yes, that is official scientific fact, look it up.
Also, petrification of wood to stone has been shown to happen in extremely short amounts of time, as little as decades with some species, not Millions of years as previously claimed.
No, this is Not a conspiracy.
What it is, is that Too much of the scientific 'facts' we are all taught in school, aren't facts at all, they are only theorys, and theorys that Can Not be proven.
I like science, and history, and would love to see those Redwoods in person...but I can't wrap my head around the 'millions of years' Theory either...as it's all BS.
But, I Love the pictures and the thread!
lol

Next day, the kids were refreshed and ready to ride.

Matching bikes! We give Danny such a hard time about his bikes, he seems to buy a different motorcycle almost every month.

Something about that Triumph cafe racer style bike, love that look

Here's the plan:

DSC00516-2.JPG

The ride along the ocean is cold and wet, behind me is a mile-long train of headlights, 16 bikes in this group

DSC00520.JPG

But we have a rule, There is no such thing as a cold rider, only an unprepared rider.

Plug in the electric vest and let's ride

But the little detail items like the tank bracket & even the gas cap are so very cool

But small tank means carry extra fuel
