There really wasn't any change over night. He tried to mumble something to me this morning but I couldn't stay too long. Upon stopping by on my lunch, Buz, James' boss and his wife were there... but no James... he was wheeled off for testing. We never learned what kind of testing though. I will check in on him tonight. I am hopeful he will open his eyes for me tonight.

Maybe it is lack of sleep and worrying about James or maybe gosh darn it I truly care, but you guys/gals and your generousity make my eyes water.

According to Buz, from what the bike looked like at the scene... only the exhaust may be salvagable... rest is toast.

His boss and boss' wife have been taking care of his mail and will open the important bills and see what needs to be done.

Of more concern right now is the dogs. Is there anyone who can board the dogs. His boss said that the dogs need to be out of the human society come friday. They are in protective custody but not together and are curtained off from the rest of the dogs due to their breed. They need to get out of there. Can anyone take them even for a few days while some other arrangement is saught?

James is doing better as you can see from the post . But I was informed this morning that the dogs have to be moved from the organization that is caring for them. Any body have any ideas? If I had the space I would take them in a heart beat, but with the old dog I have at the moment that just is not possible. The places I've called are qouting me $20.00 a day for the pair based on a 5-6 week stay. That is if they don't have any problems (pitbulls). When the dogs where picked up they seemed friendly enough. Again any ideas would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Mike

I'll ask around at work, I'd take em' in but I don't even have a yard.

I'll check around though, they should be together.

CHERIE

Do his pooches have any special needs? That kind of stuff.

Some good Folks at NSR might be stepping up, and willing to help, they just need some details...

Hell, I'd take em both if I didn't have the other 3 dogs. I've put in a few calls. I'll have some answers tomorrow.

I e-mailed Vena ("Terlover" AKA as "Aspen") She offered any help with dogs and if she can't take them I know she will have a suggestion for other avenues. She has been on vacation and I think she will be home today or tomorrow. Keep your fingers crossed.

I walked in this morning to find an awake and mostly alert James. Eyes just about half way open and he's talking (whispering) a bit. He can tell me "no" pretty good. Last night he would fidget whenever the compression sleeve went of on his left leg and I asked him if he was in pain. He said "a little bit" but when I asked if he wanted pain meds, I told him to wiggle his toes for NO... figures, he wiggled his toes but the nurse gave him some anyway.

Still no response out of the right hand or foot. I know he had neuro testing done yesterday but I don't have any word on those results yet. His nurse last night was nice. She answered all my questions. She hadn't read up on the results of his testing yet. He has had a slight fever for 2 days but nothing of concern yet.

He was talking alot this morning, too bad I couldn't understand 99% of it. He does seem really frustrated. Every visit and every day he keeps getting better. I'm sure tonight, if the meds from surgery have worn off, he'll be more understandable.
