Busa Bash III

I'm pretty sure there are others that will be chiming in, I know NCBusa & Fireman on a busa didnt get the mails but have planned to attend. Last I read/heard Fireman might try to hook up with Busanut and crash there if he still has room, NCbusa and his wife will be staying with the group in all likelyhood.

BT said he had to work, but I think we need to work on him some more to get him to bring that 10 up to the twisty heaven

well if we get enough folks to say 110% they will be there we can do a group rental of the cabins. Otherwise we'll be on our own, probably at the CROT "resort" or the Tapico lodge. I think we'll probably get it all nailed down in the next 3wks, just need to get some definate, I'll be there no matter whats so Vman can feel better about reserving the cabins

I plan to attend, but am having a little trouble getting the time off. I was considering staying at the Phillips Motel (cosy and cheap) but am willing to consider anything that fits my pathetic budget. If this works out I will have atleast two other riders/bikes in tow with me. They are non-Busas, but good people nonetheless. I am working on my vacation schedule and will let you guys know something firm as soon as I can. Right now I am planning on being there April 14 thru 17.

And where exactly is Robinsville?

It's a nice ride from Robbinsville to the Gap, there are a couple ways to get there. Robbinsville is nothing fancy, but it is close to the Gap.The town does have all the basics- fuel,groceries,pizza place just outside of town on 129,etc. One thing it doesn't have is booze.

Booze can be had at the Tapoco Lodge and at a roadside store at the Tennessee end of the Deal's Gap run.

that store is IN TN .... and seemed a lot farther than we thought when we set off for it

but its a fun ride to the store and back

If it is the one I remember, it is along the way if you make the Dragon/Cherohala loop, on your left, on the corner. Might be a small gas station across from it.

there's a few, I think Warbaby is talking about the place at the pumpkin campgrounds area. Long story but a few guys wound up getting pursued by the local PD for exceeding the posted speed limit ..... I'd wager to say they were only 3-4x over the speed limit

anywho, was a fun ride, just farther than anyone thought it would be from the overlook.

Lots of places to stock up on things, just easier to import what you want
