It's cool looking...but I'm still not sold on no gears and no engine noise.
By the looks of things, if I live long enough and want to keep riding, I'll eventually have no choice but to ride something electric...booooo
Maybe it will be like the V4 and V6 Mustangs and pipe the V8 sound through speakers....
My truck has that in Sport mode...and I like it, lol.
Kind of like having a flat-chested bikini model if you ask me.
I thought the same.
But, it's a whisper quiet inside.
Sport mode tightens the steering, and holds gears longer with firmer shifts...and it actually sounds good inside.
It's a pretty authentic V8 sound inside...for something that sounds like a 4.3 S10 outside, lol.
The same sound the EV will be making I reckon......
I'm still waiting on the 'dislike' option...
I was out snowshoeing this morning and came across a parking area on my travels...a fellow was getting out of his Tesla 3 so I decided to take a water break and talk cars...
He said he has noticed his range has dropped considerably from what it was when new. He said he seldom runs his air conditioner as it drains his battery level pretty quickly and he parks it in the garage (contrary to what Tesla says to do) so he doesn't have to clear windows going to work....he can plug it in at work so clearing windows there isn't an issue.
He asked Tesla a few questions on his range and he was told eventually he will need to replace the battery pack. His is a 2018 long range model and he said he has never got the range they told him he'd get.
He likes the car though and if he got another it would be a lease so he can turn it in after 3-4 yrs.

Just out at the mailbox (community one) talking to a neighbor...his brother has a Tesla S....
Apparently it wouldn't go the other morning and had to be flat-bedded to the Tesla dealer in Ottawa which was almost 2 hrs from where his brother lives.
As the car is a year old, they told him he could go rent a car and they'd reimburse him...he called rental agencies and none rent EV.....he wanted an EV I guess.....he rented a gas car but he wasn't happy as his brother says he is a "greenie" and all about EV....and rides his butt because he drives a Jeep....
Earlier this year, his brother got a letter from Tesla that he shouldn't be parking his car inside due to fire hazard...which pissed him off as he has a 3 car garage and had a plug put inside 2 bays...he had to get an extender to plug outside.
His brother (my neighbor) and I both agree it sure isn't all the hassle of owning one of these. I sure am glad I don't have a brother like that.

Well, plug in outdoors hassles vs oil shortages and gas through the roof. Hmmm.....
