The first Kawasaki I ever owned was an S1 2 stroke triple....that was an angry bike....small but mighty.
Of course in my experience most of the 2 strokers were angry bikes...when I got finished with my '79 Daytona Special it was very angry, at 6,000 rpm it would just go nuts..I really miss that little bike and should have kept it.
You forgot to add the crappy suspension and spaghetti frames...but in defence of these bikes, we really had nothing to compare them with.A buddy I had years ago bought a Suzuki Titan 500 twin and then a 500 triple. I liked them only when I was (on the gas). But where was the decel? I didn’t like that. Brakes were shiite in those days and we needed some deceleration when (off the gas).

Not much for suspensions if I recall, my little Daytona was decent after lots of work...I had Ohlins rear shocks on it and Race Tech springs in the front, it was just OK.....I bought it for $500 in 1983 and had a lot of fun building it.Suspensions? They had suspensions? One two stroke I did like was the X6 Hustler. Tiny little fireball of a motorcycle. Outran any 350 around.
Bemmer put the smack down on everybody! Tesla who ? Sometimes I wish I was a jockey....
I started out on 2 stroke street bikes, started on pretty much all the little guys and worked my way up to the 750's. The only ones I never owned were the Daytona 400 and the RZ350. I had a banshee with the same motor if that counts lol. And yes you should have kept it... and I should've kept mine... to heck with the space. Darn that Jay LenoThe first Kawasaki I ever owned was an S1 2 stroke triple....that was an angry bike....small but mighty.

Everyone is getting this wrong. It's a 2022 not a 2021
...which makes little to no sense....Everyone is getting this wrong. It's a 2022 not a 2021
That's true but in todays world, no one care about HP and top end anymore. They will sell what ever they build. The Gen 3 because of the electronics package and LED lighting It's going to sell no problem. Besides the difference we are talking in performance can only be seen on a drag strip.Based on Akrapovics latest test, the Gen-3 makes more power...
Oh you will at some point...
Not true they are still making the ZX-14R just not for Europe and the Kawi rep hasn't heard anything about not making them anymore and like the Busa they didn't stop producing they built it different so will the ZX14RI think the 14R will be available in the US for some time but if they're not, that's all the more reason to grab a brand new ZX-14R. I'm glad there will be continued interest in the Hayabusa because I plan to keep mine and build on it for many years but I see no reason to buy the new one.
I'd say if the ZX14R doesn't meet Euro 5 specs, it's days are numbered...Not true they are still making the ZX-14R just not for Europe and the Kawi rep hasn't heard anything about not making them anymore and like the Busa they didn't stop producing they built it different so will the ZX14R
Errr.... I do! Don’t care if I can ever use it or not, that’s Busa DNA!That's true but in todays world, no one care about HP and top end anymore.
