need to bin the other CAT as well
Just over 200 miles done so far... Mostly held back due to work commitments and weather... Freakish scattered light snow lately.Well @Telboy2000 , what do you think of the new beastiie so far?
How is it so far compared to your previous Hayabusa? Does it still feel like a Hayabusa or has it been refined?Just over 200 miles done so far... Mostly held back due to work commitments and weather... Freakish scattered light snow lately.
The bike on a 30 mile solo ride was an eye opener... 4th gear on a twisty road can get you into serious trouble and greatful of the new brakes of which I'd still like a tad more initial bite... Great stopping power but just that bit more confidence that a light touch will roll off 30mph etc.
Handling is sublime... Really suits the tyres and suspension... Totally stock settings so far and letting everything bed in before tweaking sag etc.
Gadgets are great... Always thought cruise control was a gimmick but so nice to just ride on a motorway / highway with just a light touch on the bars and to be able to scratch your rhs wherever you need... Lol
sure Dynos aren't required to be calibrated on a 6mnth or yearly basis, as they are a device to show power curves and tune engines, the numbers are not relevent to other dyno's numbersThe stock gen 2 puts out around 172 rwhp, that's been documented quite a few times on many dynos....
If this dyno is saying a bone stock gen 2 is putting out over 180hp, that's hard to explain...
Not to mention the gen 3 appears to be putting out it's bhp as rwhp....all the spec sheets say the gen 3 is 188bhp..
I guess it will be proven over many other dynos what the bike actually makes, I certainly can't see Suzuki underpinning the hp figures as they know this is a big selling point of the bike.
?????
It's every bit still a hayabusa... Same feel of solid trustworthy build. How is it so far compared to your previous Hayabusa? Does it still feel like a Hayabusa or has it been refined?
The fairings defiantly makes the bike look slightly slimmer and the new suspension is apparently making the handling quite good which is where I would see a good gain for performance because the he 2 was not good at changing linesIt's every bit still a hayabusa... Effortlessly quick and even with the stock screen it's a pleasure at speed.
The fact the gearing and engine layout is untouched just adds to the old familiar feeling like an old friend as soon as you climb aboard.
You just know it can handle whatever you can think of.
If anything I'd say it's dynamically closer to the Gen1 than the Gen2... Doesnt feel bulky like the 2 did.. More like a stretch big bore GSXR 1k.
Loving every second on it and this weekend I plan to basically rack up the miles to get the service done
Sounds like, dare I say.....a Hayabusa.....yes please
