I read this then thought.... give it time.. maybe 3-4 months and every third one will be bastardized with a swingarm extender, or bolt on extenders, (90% for w@nkers and show) and more chrome than a 90' harley..
Not doing what they were built for, out there stretching it's legs, chewing up miles and hunting down twisties..

I know euro 5 is killing bikes but Im still pretty disappointed with what suzuki is doing with the gen 3. Sure once you get it uncorked with an exhaust and tune it will be decently quick. But i mean suzuki could have done so much more with this bike to really make them stand out again like they did when the busa fist hit. Maybe i ride it and get wowed like crazy but i doubt it honestly.

Pretty what many have said from the get go, Suzuki designed this thing for the tuner...

We were told on the release video Suzuki reps attended many motorcycle events and meets to learn what the aftermarket was doing to the previous generation Hayabusas. Suzuki most likely realized there are few bone stock Hayabusas out there and set it up for the aftermarket to be better to use...

i'll be interested to see who enters into the ECU editing software research. We got to get in and be able to adjust everything, to maximize all aspects of the performance output. Naturally aspirated, or forced induction. I do not want to put a power commander on my bike if I can have the ECU properly mapped out.

Of course gsxr bikes are slightly restricted no question have been for ten years, theres always a nice feeling of replacing the cat or just factory muffler to liven up the soul of the bike.
The unknown gen 3 question is the bike going to lean out with aftermarket slip-ons i guess someone will need to get a dyno to find that out. And is the gen3 ecu restricted why was the gen 2 ecu restricted was the decision made to make the bike safer to ride??? i can understand why suzuki did that they wanted to sell a bike to anyone to ride and not get a lasting bad reputation, I would have been more impressed with riding a full powered version first time around. but seriously if i ride and get home safely thats the priority, And i want a bike thats versitile and i think thats what the gen 3 offers guys with a broader range of skills like like to carve up a the corners which would appeal to guys having owned superbikes i was pleasantly surprised how well the gen 2 handles considering its a overweight gsxr so if suzuki made it perform better in that department that making it more versatile, i believe making the gen 3 faster would only appeal to posers who buy it for reputation if you want crazy test ride the gsxr1000 for an hour, red line it then tell me you want the ride the busa like that

You missed the point of my post....

The gen 3 will be modified, that is a reality....in my opinion, Suzuki knew this and built it in such a way it will accept modifications more readily...in this way they can 'cheat' the Euro 5 restrictions.

There are few "bone stock" gen 1 and gen 2 Hayabusas out there....even a single modification deviates from the motorcycle's original design.

The gen 3 will be no different-once the mods start.

As for what it is in stock form...a Suzuki Hayabusa was never conceived as a versatile run about...it was designed to destroy the competition in the speed wars...the original intent of the bike has been lost over time and it has slowly become a big shiny Bandit.

India waiting list 60 to 120 days for pre orders... covid got them bad.

I big shiny bandit....gtfoh! If that's the case change your name to ladybug this is the last of the mohicans nothing to prove besides reliability and longevity wait till this thing gets a turbo... Game over!
....my bike still has a stinger....:firing:

I think the gen 3 will be a perfect all around bike great for sport touring and commuting....pretty much like every other bike out there these days...

I see lots of similarities between it and a Bandit...the Bandit's engine was based on the GSXR1100 which was punched out and tuned for low and mid range. Loved the Bandit too, it was a stellar bike for what it was, and it too responded very well to modifications.
