OK, I'm tired of waiting. Someone needs to post ride reports. I don't want "I love it" I want to know why you love it. NOW LET'S HEAR IT! lol!
I still think the gen 3 doesn't know what it is supposed to be or where it fits into the market.

It basically has no competition as the ZX14R has been discontinued and the H2 has Euro 5 woes....

Liter bikes will stomp it and dedicated sport tourers are more comfortable...

I guess it is enough that it even exists...

True the competition does not have anything really comparable.
Not so sure 1k bikes will stomp it, torque is a bonus and in the 1/4 mile it still is up there with the best. Sure, it is too heavy for the track, however there is a rider here on the forum who seems to do pretty well, stomping a lot of 1k bikes on the track.

The new gen3 has no issues with sales, so either it is the legend living on, or there are just a lot of riders who still prefer superbike performance with a lot more comfort thrown in.

Lets face it, 21 years later, the same bike with small updates only, still remains pretty popular.

Mine is bone stock, but wherever I park it, it always receives some attention.
