Gen-3 package HTP is working on...

Sooooo I work with a guy who's friend owns this bike down in TX. The bike ran 8.349 and 163 mph and change on it's 4th run N/A. I haven't talked to him directly but he said the Gen 3 is the real deal. Of course he has some $$$ in it with HTP building it and a Motec but it is a great first effort.

That is a great news where we can find more info about the bike and those numbers?

I'd say he has more than a little money into to get to those numbers....

Any more details on the bike, rider, etc? MPH seems very low..

So nasty fuel for 15hp.
Cams, tune, stand alone ecu And a Cylinder head for the other 40??
Plus a full exhaust!
Sounds like a good first try for gen3 performance...only it's gonna cost a fortune!
Doesn't sound practical for daily use, or cost effective at all.
Hold out for the ecu to be unlocked and go turbo...the dollar vs hp numbers will be Alot less.
@sixpack577 whats your guess on hp when the ecu is unloked with pump gas?

Well, in my infinate knowledge(lmao).
And again, basing my *opinion* on my experience with the late model gsxr1k, as well as Euro emissions pulling so much fuel up top to pass.
With piped and tuned gen2's in the mid to upper 180's whp.
Parts combo and dyno varying(heck a hot sticky tire can rob a couple whp on a dyno, as well as the weather), but talking in terms of the big guys like Brock and Moore Mafia, and with a pipe, tune, and filter, maybe velocity stacks...I am hoping and thinking, maybe, maybe, we see a real world 200whp.
I don't think 15whp from the previous gen is that big of a stretch, especially with modern tech.
I think myself and many can only base what we know on old gen and other bikes for what a flash can change, and with no real knowledge of just what Suzuki has going on in the gen3 electronically, we can still only speculate.
But, I'm just a guy with an opinion, and who is yet, yet, to own a gen3, so time will tell.
I think someone like you has a better perspective than me already anyway, as you own it and have a real world take on how it is now.
I am very optomistic though that whatever can be unlocked, we will be able to tell, even if it's more lower rpm power than up top, more is more. :beerchug:

I think that is a realistic number for sure.

@c10 got a touch over 200hp with his well set up gen 2 so a well set up gen 3 should be able to at least match that.

I think the gen 3 will really shine when it's boosted-with the stronger internals you should be able to turn it up...

You know what? Im in the same opinion as you we should see 200hp and that for me is a great number thanks for answering.

If you have Q , about the progres Woolich Racing is now with the Gen3 ECU .
Send a P.M to Justin

No need to bother him ive already asked @Vanishing Point

There is very minor engine mods and Marchesini wheels.
I only asked as @c10 's bike made close to that but he was running ceramic bearings and CF rims..

They seem to make a big difference...

I don’t think his was running carbon rims.
