Gen 3 Trunk mods..... Who has started brainstorming on this already????

My issue is I use my busa as a daily so I dont have the ability to really teardown and do the R&D on it. I looked at a used one on fleabay to mod while I ride. I can get measurements and just tinker with it then put it in when Im done. It was a pain in the arse to do the helmet hooks in one night so I could ride the next morning @8am.

I cut the plastic out of the bottom of my cowl and keep my air shifter c02 tank and a few extra cartridges n there

I had a purpose as well, just on the opposite side of the spectrum... :p. Of course a gallon of milk for comparison since that was the right of passage for the trash can mod.

I need to carry my jacket liner home in afternoons since temps are slowly dropping a little around here.

It's definitely crossed my mind to sell, but I made for my bike so unsure what changes will be needed for a stock arm and tire. I think I have an easier solution, while less space, potentially could be a drop in solution and also less print time. This took 56hrs. Visually looks possible, if so I'll make it happen.

But for extended arms, just a copy of mine would work out no problem.

If its something I can pay you for the file/design and have someone local print it Id be all for that too.

Sorry, but can't share the file. Probably 40-50hrs invested into design

I'd be down to print a few that have extended tails, I'll come up with a price. While testing this one out next week I'll make one last change and print/test final version to install next weekend. Will print final in PLA+ Pro, supposedly ABS-like properties.

I 100% get that , I just didn't want to burden you with print time etc if you didn't want them.
Let me know when they're ready I wont bug ya for one until then lol

Too bad this won't work for us stock swung arm folks. I've got a couple ideas and plan on using aluminum for fabrication.
 
I don't mind tying up the printer, with how big it is it'd actually offset the cost of printing 4 test parts. I didn't post anything until it was installed so the final one is right around the corner.

I intended to make a smaller one for stock arms and seems like would gain a good bit of space too.

Did get a smidge of rub today so will shorten some.

Anyone that's extended and interested, any chance could measure tail height from something I can reference on mine? Just to make sure it can clear. I need to check my 240/18 OD vs 190/17.
