I didn't know anything about the 3d expansion until i watched that link. WOW....I'm sure Pashnit or Blanca will have it soon enough for a review!

As far as sound is concerned. The camera wasn't made (and I don't know of ANY on the market), that can handle sound at both normal conversation AND at speed on a motorcycle. That's why most edit down the sound levels and sometimes add music while editing. Using the waterproof case, mounting with no or clean airflow, vibration-reducing mounting, and mounting near what you want the camera to hear (in this case I suspect, engine noise) is important. Also look for turbulence in front of the mic.

The 3D deal looks pretty good. What I want to know is why they can sell 2 for #360, but one is $300.... I mean, I'm not really complaining, cause it's a great camera and I absolutely love mine. Just seems like maybe they could lower the price of the first one a little if the second is 1/5 the price of the first.

I now have (with much appreciation to Pashnit and Pashnit.com for the outstanding ideas) the parts/workings for my first set up of 'Ram' mounts for my GoPro HD Wide. I can't wait to install the mounts and posts, but unfortunately the weather here in Colorado has not cooperated.

I have the following items from 'Ram' simply aching to be installed. I hope to have pix very soon.

RAM Inch Base with 11mm Hole and 1 Inch Ball- RAM-B-252U
RAM Base with 9mm Hole and 1 Inch Ball- RAM-B-272U
RAM Mount 1 Inch Ball Double Socket B - RAM-B-201U
RAM SMALL ROUND BASE 1/4"-20 THR- RAP-B-366U

And two Tripod Mounts from Gopro.

They are getting really huge in the industry. I don't see any reason why they can't lower their prices a little at this point. They do have great customer service though, and a good product. I really have no complaints other than the slow implementation of new products (i.e. firmware/lcd/misc.expansions).

Just got that in my email too. Be helpful for aiming, and to tell if the silly thing is actually on or off after you push the button without having to go around and look at the front of the camera.

Aiming is what I'm most interested in. That and immediate playback. I hate having to wait till I get home to see what I've recorded. Especially when I'm at the lake or something and can't just ride home real quick.

Comes with the different case back. Just replaces the one you have now.
You must have gotten your camera used or got one hulluva deal on a new one if $80 is almost what you gave for it.

Its been a bit but I got two of the HD models. Got one for 160ish and another for around 220ish. There was a time when they could be had for pretty cheap around this time last year on ebay and with our sponsors

Right now you'll have to get it from GoPro.com. As far as we know, they have not released it to their dealer or distribution network.

We have them on order, but don't have a stock date yet. I bought this one pictured off the gopro.com site on the 1st. Everyone called us all at once wondering if we had them. I have two more arriving tomorrow for a friend in the UK. GoPro wanted $75 to ship them to the UK. I can ship that for $13 I said.
