I believe in creative evolution, i.e. God created but evolution occurs. My belief still can't be proven by me or anyone else. That's my point. You have to have faith, or it doesn't work. You didn't answer the question. Where did we come from then?
God is refered to in the male gender in the bible. I'm following along for the purposes of this discussion. I personally believe that God transcends gender, along with everything else by which we define our existence.Shouldn't God be an It not a Him. Why would it need to reproduce?
Just askin'
Yeah, he specializes in the Psalms and the Minor prophets, Joel, Amos, etc.I remember reading that I believe your father is an old testament prophesor, I think? How does he fall into this discussion?
God created us. If you believe, as the Bible says, that God made Adam from dust and spit, in His likeness, how else but evolution can you explain the diversity within the human race? Why do some of us have darker skin, lighter hair, are taller, etc. God created us with many abilities, I believe that the capability to evolve was one of them. How does this work, say with a human, how would we of come into being through creative evolution? Again not attacking you just questioning this idea.
genetic alterations through continuous procreation.God created us. Yes. People now are taller, and live longer than in prior generations. We are able to use our resources more effectively, and make more areas inhabitable. Are we still evolving?
Exactly. What do you think evolution is?genetic alterations through continuous procreation.God created us. Sure but they were retards compared to what we have become. They accomplished many things, but think about all that mankind has done since then.Don't you think previous generations like say the ancient egyptians the way they built the pyramids were pretty advanced for their time?
Evolution requires no belief, the proof of it is all around you. It can be empirically observed. Evolution exists, there is no doubt. I never said God doesn't exist, read more carefully next time. I said nobody can PROVE that God does or doesn't exist. Hence we BELIEVE what ever we choose.I think the theory of creative evolution is dispelled by the laws of thermodynamics. beleiving in any form of evolution requires way more faith than beleiving God created the heavens, light, sun moon and starts and everthing that walks and grows on the earth. evolution cannot be proven so according to your Truth qualifications evolution can not be true. and according to this same application to Gods existence you claim it cannot be proven and therefore cannot be true. so maybe we don't actually exist. Hmmmmmmmm.
Kinda, I don't believe the Big Bang Theory personally, but otherwise I would say that it is generally accurate. I can't speak for what others believe, but I believe that god created the Universe and life within it a long time ago and is watching as we evolve. I believe that God created all things and the proccesses that change us, and allows us to choose which path to take.I found this definition for creative evolution- Is a non-standard cosmological view that everything in existence came into being by natural processes-the universe by the Big Bang, the human race by evolution, etc- but that these natural processes were guided by a higher intelligence, usually the Christian God. This view is common among theologically liberal Christians.
Is this an acurate definition?
