Not asking who for or how just curious how it is around the country ?
How long if at all did you have to wait in line or timewise to vote ?
I love where I live !
Zero time !
Walk in , show voter reg card , here's your ballot and there's an open booth .
Took all of ten minutes :cheerleader:

Same as you, didn't wait at all. I voted 2 weeks ago

My county has early voting starting 2 weeks prior to each election; they have 4 or 5 locations throughout the county to allow voters to vote early. I can't recall the last time I voted on "election day"...

Wife left the House and was back in 15 Min :cheerleader: , Me, it took 18 min to drive to our voting place and return for breakfast

And we voted on 12 additional items other than elected officials

And this with PAPER BALLOTS you have to mark

I LOVE LIVING OUT HERE :beerchug:

DaCol Florida went back to these huge paper ballots where you have to connect the arrows for your choice ?
Last three elections , three different methods .
Really trying to confuse us .
We did have to vote on eleven amendments/propositions though .
Hate those , they are always two paragraphs long and seem to contradict themselves beginning to end ???
Omslaw I haven't voted early or before because for the last twenty years I have lived in same location .
The poll worker told me there was a small line there this morning but when I went just now place was vacant same as it was for the presidential election a couple years ago .
Place is a senior citizen clubhouse in the middle of a retirement community .
Only thing is everytime I go the lil old lady there looks at me and says 'are you sure your supposed to vote here?'
I reply 'Its on my voter reg card isn't it?'

I'm a forty year old amongst all these ninety year olds.
My home is right across the street from it , I get there by walking :) and am in their district so it's as easy as could be.
The local news here in Palm Beach county is showing some folks standing in lines right now but I've never had to even wait for a booth .
Just walk in and vote , done .

I already voted. I hope this isn't an indication of low voter turnout. Voting during the week always hurts those people who are actually WORKING in this country and paying the bills.

went at 750 this am...went straight in and up to the table. We only have about 11k people in my town so the lines aren't usually to bad if you catch it right.

Keith I would tend to agree with you but even if you are working you need to find time to do what not many in the world have the right to do .
My old boss years ago would get upset and try to prevent us from leaving midday to go vote but I always just looked at him and said 'I'll be back......if you want me to?'
Some things like that job can be replaced , the right to vote or the time to do so can't .

Fifteen minutes first time, five minutes the second time. :moon:

Sad to see so few voting. Should be a National holiday. Agree on the changes in SoFlorida. I even got confused, every time it is a different setup.

On that I definitely agree. Voting days all businesses should be closed and it should be a Natl holiday.
Heck every European country completely shut down when their teams were playing in the world cup . You could not even get a bottle of water anywhere in Italy and we just look at voting day like it's nothing special .
Forty different holidays county employees have off but they work on voting day ?

I need to get a county job :laugh:

My cousin works for the county and it seems like every time I call him he's off for something ?
Works for Mosquito control. I always say WTF I haven't seen a skeeter in like forever !
He just laughs and says 'that's cuz we do such a good job'

Walked right in. We still have to color in a circle. Should've brought a crayon as it was time consuming with a ball point pen! The eyes ain't what they used to be.

It was crowed when I went to vote but I only probably waited 5 minutes. Randy went this morning and said the line was out the door and down the side walk so he will have to go this afternoon after work.

Election day is always the first Tuesday in November. That's why there is early voting and mail in ballots. It only hurts people who make no effort to get there
or choose an alternate method.

Took me about 15 min. I had moved and had to sit down with a volunteer to change my voter registration.

Wonder if we will ever get to a SECURE way to vote on line. we have become a lazy ass society anyway. So it could be a drive thru way of voting will little effort.

Speak for yourself!
I had to get up early and wash the bike before I voted, didn't want people to think I don't care for my bike nor my country.
